July 30 | Friday

Kei Tsukishima doesn't believe in love.

He thinks that it's a waste of time and effort. People who believe in that kind of shit are stupid for him.

He never had a girlfriend so how can he say that?

You either get friendzoned or even worse, lose the friendship with the person you like.

You either love too much or love too less.

You either be contented or have a third party.

Love is complicated. And he doesn't want to be part of it.

Tsukishima's thought was interrupted when he noticed a female's uniform standing in front of him.

He boredly looked up and locked eyes with green ones. The female is petite. Her long wavy dark raven hair suited her. She's pale with a tint of blush visible in her face. She's beautiful.

Tsukishima removed his headphones and placed them in his neck. His brow raised and directly looked at the female, making her blush deepen.

Tsukishima is curious why the female is in front of her, but from the sounds of giggles outside his classroom, he knew what was going to happen.

“A-ano..” —The female stuttered, her face turning red.

“Yes?” —Tsukishima asked.

The female gulped and started fidgeting her fingers. “Y-you see.. ano..”

Tsukishima got annoyed and furrowed his brows. “You're disturbing me. If you have nothing to say then leave me alone.” —He said in a stern voice.

The female didn't expect that. She knew Tsukishima is known for being smart and rude but she never thought he'd respond like that. The female felt despair, smelling rejection soon.

“Well.. you see.. I..” —She continued to stutter, her face turning deep red but this time, it was because of embarrassment.

She sighed. She closed her eyes and clenched her hands as she said,  “I-I like you, Tsukishima-kun! I hope you give me a chance!”

Tsukishima sighed as he pushed up his glasses. “No.”

“W-what? What do you mean no..?” —The female asked, feeling hopeless.

Tsukishima looked up and coldy stared at her face. “You heared me. No means no, lady.”

The female's green eyes teared up. Heartbroken was written all over her face. “Pleasw give me a chance, I-I'll prove you wrong” —The female pleaded.

“You won't get anything from me. Gomen.” —Tsukishima said in a stern tone.

“Y-you're heartless, Tsukishima-kun! I hope you never find love!” —The female's voice cracked as she stomped her foot. She ran away to her friends who had a worried expression in their faces.

Tsukishima rolled his eyes and let out a tch. He placed his headphones in his head and continued listening to his soft dinosaur music.

Another reason he doesn't believe in love is because of heartbreak. A scar from the heart is almost impossible to heal.

The female's words was ringing into his head.

“You're heartless, Tsukishima-kun! I hope you never find love!”

Although he knew the female's pride was the one who said that, he was kind of hurt.

If protecting yourself from heartbreak is heartless, then he'd rather never find love at all.
