Kehlani fluttered her eyes open. They all had ordered breakfast and it just arrived. Jahseh put Kehlani some tater tots on a plate. He placed it in front of her. She just looked at them.
"Eat baby" Jahseh spoke. She didn't even touch her food. She loves tater tots and she hasn't eaten since last night so something must me wrong with her.
"You okay?" Jahseh rubbed her back. She nodded her head. He offered her the apple juice but she didn't want it.
"Baby you love apple juice" he said. He wished she could actually talk and tell him what's wrong.
"You wanna play?" He questioned. She shook her head.
"No" he said. Everyone came in the room Jahseh and Kehlani were in to discuss what's gonna happen next in their lives.
"Are you okay baby?" Jahseh questioned Kehlani. She then started crying. Jahseh really didn't know what was wrong with her. He put her on his lap and bounced his leg up and down.
"What happened?" Stokeley questioned
"I don't know. She won't eat those tater tots, drink the apple juice and she doesn't wanna play with her toys" he elaborated. They all seemed concerned.
"Food" Kehlani spoke
"You want food?" Jahseh questioned m. She nodded her head. He got the tater tots and gave her one. She ate it. Jahseh was relieved. He sat her on the bed and put the plate in front of her. She ate the tater tots. Jahseh gave her the apple juice and she drank it.
"I'm not finna live there anymore" Jahseh spoke
"Yeah. I don't wanna live there either" Jarad said. Kehlani started coughing. Jahseh patted her back.
"I know it's good baby but you gotta slow down" Jahseh laughed. They all laughed with him. She finished the apple juice. ••• It was nighttime and Jahseh was trying to get Kehlani to sleep. Her blinks got longer. The windows in all the rooms were open because it was hot in the house too. Jahseh smelled fire and right when it hit his nose, the smoke alarm went off. Kehlani started crying because she was sleepy and she couldn't go to sleep. They all came out their rooms. Nothing was on fire.
"I think it's outside" Ally said. Jahseh threw one of Kehlani's blankets on her so she wouldn't be cold outside. They all went out to the front to see what was happening. There were two cars down the street on fire. Kehlani rested her head on Jahseh's shoulder. She fell asleep. They were safe enough to stay where they were so they went inside and went to their rooms. Jahseh laid Kehlani in the bed. He turned all the lights off so the only light in the room was provided by her night light.

Jahseh fell asleep too. ••• Jahseh woke up from another bad dream about Kehlani getting taken. His was breathing heavily but he eventually calmed himself down. Kehlani started breathing hard too. Her eyebrows were furrowed as well. She was having a bad dream too. She started crying. Jahseh got her laid her on his chest. He rubbed her back. She stopped crying. He then heard her light snores. He fell back asleep too.
