Jahseh ran Kehlani some bath water. He put her put her in the bath. He washed her up. He always washed her face first.
"Ouch" she said
"Sorry baby" he apologized but he had to clean her face.
"Ow ow ow" She cried
"I know baby" He said. He washed up the rest of her body and took her out. She kept touching her bruise.
"Ow" she said
"don't touch it baby" He removed her hand from her face. He moisturized her body. He noticed she had another bruise a little bit above her little 'girl part'. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Does this hurt baby" he questioned her
"wiole" she spoke
"A little?" She asked for reassurance. She nodded her head. She continued moisturizing her body. He put her in some warm pajamas since it's been cold lately. He sat her up. He then sat on the bed in front of her. He grabbed her hands so he could have her full attention.
"I'm sorry I left you with the bad man. He was a friend of Daddy's and I didn't think he would hurt you" Jahseh apologized.
"It's okay Daddy" She smiled. Her smile made him smile. She stood up and hugged him. He hugged her back and rubbed her back. She pulled away.
"Kisses" She spoke. He softly kissed her lips. He smiled at her.
"I wub you Daddy" She said.
"I love you so much more baby" He caressed her cheek.
"Nooooo" She smiled. He chuckled

She yawned and rubbed her eye. He knew she was sleepy. He put her on his lap and bounced his led up and down as 'The Secret Life Of Pets 2' was playing on Netflix. He heard her soft snores already, making him chuckle. After a few minutes he laid her in the bed and wrapped her in a cozy blanket because it usually got cold in the middle of the night. He didn't turn her nightlight on because there was enough light provided by the TV. He watched her sleep for a few minutes. He softly caressed her bruise with his thumb. He then softly kissed the bruise before turning all the lights off except for the TV. He was sleepy but couldn't fall asleep. He put Kehlani on his chest beceause he knew she was safe. He then slowly dozed off.

Kehlani woke up in the middle of the night crying. Her eyes were still closed so she must've been having a nightmare. Jahseh rubbed her back and softly kissed her forehead. She opened her eyes and started breathing hard while she looked around.
"Baby, why are you panicking?" Jahseh questioned. She seen him and laid her head down.
"You were just looking for me?" He spoke. She nodded her head. She was just moving her eyes all around the room.
"Go back to sleep baby. You were just so peaceful" He rubbed her back. Her blinks became longer until she finally rested her eyes, falling back into a deep sleep.
