Chapter 2: At the Hospital
After we enter the hospital the lady at the front desk tells us to sit in the waiting room for a couple minutes until the doctors are ready for us. While sitting in the waiting room I notice myself looking around curiously like someone else in the waiting room looks familiar. After looking for a bit I catch myself crying but I don't know why. Shortly after we sat down in the waiting room (about 10 min) the doctors called my name. They told me to follow them to room called "room number 7" I followed them and when we came across room number 6 I notice something or SOMEONE!!!! That someone is my "true love" or AKA Caroline's boyfriend.
While my mother and I are waiting in room 7 I'm thinking to myself why is Sal (Caroline's boyfriend) here. Soon after we arrived to room 7 the doctor named Dr. Welsburg asked me why I am here and what my issue is. I told him that I told my mother I wasn't feeling well for the past few days and so we went to the doctors office they sent us here immediatly. I have no idea why though. Dr. Welsburg checked on me to see what was wrong he tool a quick cat scan. The doctors looked at the cat scan and didn't see anything so they told me they have to take a MRI on me. I was frightened but I knew it was probably worth it so I can feel better and get to my normal self.
The doctors came back to the room and said that they noticed something in the MRI. I asked what it was and they said they have to tell my mom first. After they told my mother they told me.I am very mad that I can't go back to my own normal life I can't even go to school. Now that that happened I am home schooled and I can't play any of my favorite sports. After we get home from the hospital I asked my mom what a brain tumor is and she said it is very bad and it could get worse but she said she will help me so it won't get worse. I tell her that I am very upset and soon she has a long talk with me about being sick and having a disease. I tell her to stop talking because it is making me very depressed.
A few days later I go outside because it was a very nice day out and my mom said to get some air so I did and it felt good. While I was out in the fresh air I saw my neighbor that I never noticed before because he was always to scared to come outside in the summer. (because his dad got killed from a disease from sunlight which is why he doesn't come outside much) I say hi to him and he says hi back after I take a close look at him I notice something. I notice that I have fallen in love with him.
