Chapter 1: First day as a freshman in high school
Hello, my name is Amanda and I am 15 years old I go to St.Marys high school and I come from a family of 8. It's my first day at St.Marys high school and I'm a freshman but its hard because I am from a foreign country and no one knows me I have no friends and I speak a totally different language. It's the worst feeling you can possibly have! When I get to school there's a guide and he shows me where all my classes are and he gives me my schedule. I'm really scared because its my first time at a catholic school. When I get to the class called "home room" I see my true love! He is from the same country as I am. I bump into him on accident and all my books drop. Of corse!
Now I have been here at this school for a while and I have lots of new friends my best friend Caroline taught me how to read and speak English. Now that I know it I really think its easier than Italian language FOR SURE! Me and Caroline hangout every day after school we have all the same classes together so we give each other answers to homework. I tell Caroline about the crush I have and she says WHOA back off! He is my boyfriend find someone else! I tell her I'm sorry and that I didn't know they were dating. (now I'm sad and depressed.) Caroline gets really mad at me and leaves my house and at school the next day she doesn't talk to me. I'm really upset that I made her mad but I didn't mean to ( I never wanted to make her mad.)
A couple days later I tell my mom that Caroline is mad at me but I never meant to do that to her. I also tell my mom that I haven't been feeling to well for the past few days. She says she will get me to the doctor's office tomorrow and we'll see what's wrong. The next day we go to the doctors and they tell me to get to the hospital immediately. My mom is frightened out of her mind and I am freaking out I'm really scared about what's going on.
