"Ma'am?!" Jaxon rushed to the woman's side, while Thatcher seemed to transfer all that had happened. This place was sick.
Jaxon turned away, glancing over towards the hole of the wall. "Isn't that the hole you came out of?" He asked, gesturing a hand towards the wall, as thatcher nodded.
"I think the killer went through there.." Jaxon suggested, eyeing the hole with thought. Thatcher thought for a moment, looking doubtful.
"But Hazel and Maggie are in there.." He replied.
"Well, let's check on them. I'm worried something may happen-" He paused, ashamed of calling Maggie out. Thatcher nodded with understanding, as he shuffled into the hole, with Jaxon trailing behind.
"Hazel!" Maggie cried. Hazel sat stiffly on the couch, her gaze frozen, while a cloth with vomit slipped from her hand. Maggie wailed aloud, tears running down her face.
Thatcher and Jaxon slipped out to the other side, spotting Maggie with disbelief. "Maggie, did you-" Jaxon started, though Maggie instantly shook her head. "I-I didn't! I went to the restroom, and when I came back she was like this, I swear." She stuttered, sobbing.
"And you expect us to believe that?" Jaxon frowned, while Thatcher crossed his arms.
"I would NEVER kill Hazel!" Maggie shrieked. She was tired of the accusations. Tired of running. Tired of fearing for her life. She should've just stayed home..
"I'm sorry, Maggie. But we're going to have to secure you into a room until we're sure." Jaxon apologized, dipping his head.
"What?!-" She wailed. Maggie sobbed. Why did nobody believe her..?
"Wait, Jaxon.. how are we sure?" Thatcher gently questioned, a flash of sympathy sparked in his eyes. "Who else is it, Thatcher?" He huffed.
The two managed to drag Maggie to a bathroom, locking her in. Her shrieks and hollers made Thatcher drown with guilt- but he knew it was for the best.
"It's not me, Jaxon! Listen to me- it's not me!" She cried, banging on the door. Maggie drooped her head, seeing no point in yelling for release. Jaxon wasn't giving in...
