Somehow the girl found herself on the roof. Her back pressed against the cool shingles as she gazes at the stars. Below her she hears the clock strike midnight and smiles to herself.

October 31st

Now pleased with her age and awaiting letters she closes her eyes. With a melancholy smile the girl slips into a dream world filled with her mother's sweet laughter.

Scrunching her nose the girl rolls over to avoid the harsh light. Upon moving she feels the scalding heat of whatever she is laying on. With her cheek slightly warm she sits straight up and blinks a few times. Adjusting to the light she realizes she's on the roof with two letters by her feet. Seizing them she stands and runs toward the attic window. Aresephone jumps through the open window and stops herself before she hits a stack of wands.

Dashing through the crowded, dusty attic she reaches a hole in the ground. Through the hole a mahogany ladder allows for her to slide down onto the floor below the attic. From there the girl is racing through the manor. Down a flight of stairs then up two more. One left turn followed by two rights. The maze-like manor feels never ending as she runs towards the owlery. Reaching a cylindrical metal room on the opposite side of the house she takes a deep breath. From the room at the top of the tower she can look out on the grounds and see the ocean. Smiling with a sad gleam on her eye she turns to a large desk in the center of the room. Pulling out parchment and a quill she writes her reply. Sealing the letter with a wax stamp of her own she fastens the letter to an owl's leg. She watches as the owl drifts away carrying her future with it.

Once the owl was out of sight the child hurried to her room. She would have to find a way to tell Narcissa. Pacing her room she ran her hands through her curls. Pulling them apart the girl wracked her brain for an idea. How to tell Cissy she is going to Hogwarts. The woman will be very upset, but that is to be expected. Her father wants her to go to Beauxbatons so naturally Narcissa agrees. Yet the young girl wants to go to Hogwarts.

By the time the child has a solution her hair is practically an afro and dinner is almost ready. Narcissa won't be back until the 1st of December so she has time to plan. Pulling out a small black journal she starts to write.

How To Tell Cissy
-Gather glitter
-Work on an explosive charm
-Protect the house elves
-Figure out how to write in explosives
-Pick a color she will like
-Practice a shield charm
-Check the weather report
-Pray to the gods that she doesn't freak
-Hope Cissy is having a good day
-Have a speech prepared for convincing her to not kill me

Although she knows Cissy will not kill her the girl still has to be ready. Narcissa could get in trouble for Aresephone's actions and the girl knows this. Sighing the girl stands from her desk and closes the journal. She scans the books on the shelf beside her desk and picks out one about hexes. With the book in hand the girl slowly walks towards the dining room. Flipping through pages she memorizes everything. Sitting at the table she doesn't bother with fake guests because she has a book to keep her company. A small white snake curls up the girls leg, but she doesn't pay it much attention. Pushing the chicken around on her plate the girl continues to read. She must finish all of the books in the library before September.

Once finished with the book the girl stands from her empty plate and signals for the elves to eat. With the book tucked safely under her arm the girl walks to the library. The girl climbs the the second floor and stored the book at the top of an empty shelf. Smiling she slides down the stair railing and jumps off onto the cold floors. The young girl leaves the library to return to her room. Changing into pajamas she pulls the next book off of the shelf the girl settles into a chair by the far corner of her room. Lighting the end of her wand she props it on her knees so that it's hanging over the book. The girl reads in the chair for hours until she starts to grow weary.

While marking the page the girl stands and closes the book. She walks to the center of her room where her bed is. The book is set on her nightstand as she crawls into bed and wraps herself in the blankets. Tomorrow she will start to prepare for December. Falling into a fitful sleep the girl dreams of her future away from the manor.
