Natsu never thought he would fall for someone, in fact he thought that the only relationship he could have was brother/sister-ship with his guild mates and the father of Igneel.

Of course his nakama was important to him, but he yearned for something more, something that was out of his normal day.

Something, or more like someone that he could call his everything.

His guild mates were as cheerful as ever, though a bit more exited. Since it was New Year's Eve, they would have a party.
The master had invited a lot of rich families, including one that used to come to Magnolia during summer.
The Heartfilia family, their daughter Lucy used to play, or pway as she said at the time, with Natsu and Lissana.
Natsu used to have a big crush on Lucy, which over the years grew to love, but Natsu being the dense idiot he is, he doesn't realise it.

Though he barely remembered the girl, his heart still speeds up at the mention of her name.
Her laughter, her smile always replays in his dreams. And now he would see her smiling face once more.

Natsu was sitting under a cherry tree a bit away from the party. He hadn't seen her, when the heartfilia family arrived she wasn't with them. He was depressed though he only thought it was because he didn't get to se his friend.

Suddenly he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He slowly turned his head, and saw a girl with blonde hair and shining brown eyes. He had never seen anything prettier in his life. Because this was Lucy.

They sat down and talked them both realising that their childhood crush was sitting right in front of them.

Natsu turned his head.

He took a caressed Lucy's cheek.

He leaned forward.

He closed his eyes.

He kissed her gently.
