summary; you have your first day with the plastics. you're sitting at their lunch table when an unfamiliar blonde walks past with bright paint all over her clothes. regina makes fun of her, so do karen and gretchen. you don't know why, but you're willing to defend 'bucket girl'.

Y/N's POV

"Regina, just go get cheese fries." I sighed. "Y/N! I want to eat something else other than cheese fries!" Regina scolded me. I mentally rolled my eyes, knowing I couldn't fight back or else she'd murder me. At least that's what Janis told me. Gretchen was tapping away on her phone, probably doing whatever Regina did. Meanwhile Karen brushed through her shiny blonde hair with a fork as she continued to speak to me. "Hey, look who it is.." Regina smirked, stopping a blonde girl from passing our table.

The blonde seemed to blush slightly, as if she was about to witness something she's dreamed of.

"Bucket girl!" Gretchen perked up, the blonde's face seemed to drop it's hopeful look. "Look's like bucket girl found herself a bucket of paint! How cute." Regina teased, drawing more attention to the innocent girl. "It- It was just an accident in art class, Sonja was playing around-"

"You don't always have to mask your love for buckets, you know." Regina gave a big, bright, and fake smile. Then glared at the other girls, causing them to let out some laughter. I laughed quietly, not wanting to disappoint Regina. The blonde frowned, quickly getting away before she could be further humiliated.

I looked at her walk away with worry written all over my face. "You don't have to feel bad for her, everyone makes fun of her tattoo." Gretchen informed me.

"Tattoo?"

"She has a tattoo of the Chinese word for bucket on her wrist!"

"Oh."

|| TIME SKIP

The bell rang, I packed my stuff up and walked out of my least favorite class. I walked through the now busy hallway so I could reach the outside and get to Regina's car. As I sped through the halls, out of the corner of my eye I saw that same blonde from earlier. And, I'm not sure why, but my guts told me to talk to her.

"Hi!" I smiled. She looked shocked for a while, before looking confused. "Hi... you here to give me a bucket?" I frowned, this school was cruel. "No, I just wanted to apologize in behalf of Regina. Well, she wouldn't apologize but I felt bad." I smiled weakly. "Oh, well, thank you. I forgive you." She smiled as well.

"Maybe we could hang out sometime?" I asked. "Me and you..? No way, you're a Plastic! You wouldn't wanna hang with..." She looked down to her paint-covered jacket. "Me." I sighed. "Who cares? They suck, following their rules is hard... and the clothes they make me wear are tight!"

The girl in front of me giggled. "Well, we could go hang out now if you'd like. Me and Sonja are gonna bake cookies- well, I'm gonna bake, she's just gonna watch." I laughed. "Yeah, screw Regina. I'm Y/N L/N by the way."

"I knew that. I'm Taylor Wedell."

"Nice to meet you, Taylor." I smiled as we started to walk out of the school. "Nice to meet you too!" She giggled again, she has a cute giggle. "By the way, you blushed earlier. You have a crush on Regina or something?"

"More like used to, I realized how awful she was then. But I think I'm starting to like someone else anyway."  I nodded. "Cool. So are your cookies any good?"

"Sonja says they're the best. So do the choir."

"You're part of the choir AND you bake? Girlfriend material!" Taylor laughed, appreciating the compliment as we passed Regina.

"Y/N? What're you doing with her?" Regina asked with a confused look on her face. "Oh, we're hanging out."

"But you can just hang with us! Don't you wanna hang with us?" Uh oh. She's trying to manipulate me. "Not everyone gets the chance to hang with me, Y/N."

"I know, so go give that chance to a different girl. Bye!" I teasingly smiled, grabbing Taylor's hand and running away from Regina.

Soon, we made it pretty far from the terrifying blonde. I let out a breathy laugh, Taylor doing the same. "You're so confident!" She smiled. "Thank you. Now let's get to your house and bake some cookies!"
