*NOTE: This story happens in the far future and might be quite different from the original story. I only watched the anime and haven't read the manga, so you will all have to assume that this may not be in the same universe, maybe even a parallel universe that is close to the one we know. And P.S it would be advised to listen to this with some nice aesthetically calm music. *

My body floated aimlessly through the darkness. This void...in its pure emptiness encompassed my weightless body with its strange but weirdly recognizable grip.

It felt like I had been here before...like I had been surrounded by this darkness at some time in my life.

And then, if only faintly I heard a voice

"....yes......I am still here"

Sweet, gentle and kind. Such a beautifully calming voice, and yet the face of the voice remained unclear, like it was being supressed by...something.

"I've never left...always be here"

Although I couldn't hear whom she was talking to, the conversation was becoming clearer and clearer as I drifted closer.

But as I neared, an overwhelming sense of sadness clawed at my throat and I fought the tears from falling.

Why was I feeling like this. Who was this person and why....why was this feeling so painful.

I grasped at nothingness, hoping for...something...anything.......someone that could lift this burdening feeling of sorrow weighing down on me.

It was so suffocating-

And then I felt it. An immense sense of comfort washed over me and engulphed me with it's sudden reassuring presence and finally,

I felt safe.

I felt tranquillity.

I felt like this was were I was suppose to be.

A hand ever so softly interlocked with mine and I was free of doubts. This person who laid before me was someone very dear to me. Even though all I could see was nothing I knew that I would do anything for them.

However, as quickly as I had found my peace I started to drift away. Farther and farther away into the darkness once more, but before I couldn't hear them again, they said

"Goodnight, Meruem...I'll be joining you...soon"
