Days,weeks,months had passed and the more time they spent together,the more they became closer

People loved to gossip about them,they were a hot topic in the campus,of course with Hyunjin being the new heart throb and Nari being the E-girl everybody find mysterious,that was bound to happen

Some shipped them,some were jealous of them and some hated Nari

But they didn't care,they were close and they like spending time with each other and that was all that mattered

Nari was actually opening up to him little by little,she was also not so quiet anymore.He couldn't help it because he reminded her of Naeun,her sister,her only best friend

She actually loved having to be reminded about the person she so dearly adored,it was a good thing

If only Naeun was here to see the progress she's made,she'd be so happy and proud of her

People would randomly ask out of the blue if they were dating or not

Nari would smile,but she didn't know how to answer

Were they only friends or were they more than that?

Were these feelings only friendship or a bit more?Or was it that she was just confused about the joy of meeting someone sharing so much similarity with her one and only best friend?

Most of all,it was clear that Hyunjin would receive such questions like these

What would his answer be?

In the end,she would just shook her head

For that was the only logical answer she could come up with

There was no specific label yet,right?

         'So where are we going today?' Hyunjin asked,skipping over to her

Nari had a specific place in mind,she wanted to show him something

'Its a surprise,you'll see'

They were going around a quiet block beyond the local market,entering a garden that lead to a small abandoned house in the corner,which again lead to an abandoned park

Nari sat on the bench of the park,taking in the air as she sighed in content

The air was fresh,the place was serene,only the noise of faint chirping and the winds howling could be heard

She felt home

She looked at Hyunjin who stood next to her,he was busy observing the place

She whistled and pat the bench for him to sit next to her

He did, 'Dude this place is weird'

Nari laughed,yeah,maybe it did looked a bit creepy considering it was abandoned and not visited to for a long a time

'You know' she began 'I remember being just as scared the first time I was here'

Hyunjin looked at her,seemingly amazed at her sudden confession

'When did you first discover this place?'

'About 10 years ago'

'Ten?'

Nari nods,taking deep breath's.It was clear she wasn't a foreigner to the place,she looked so much at peace

'My sister brought me here, I was 9 years old,she was 13.She found the place in one of her many adventures'

She looked ahead,tracing back tothe memory

'It was so beautiful and unique that it reminded her of me,or so she thought and brought me here the very chance she had'

She took deep breaths once again,she was on the verge of tears,she had missed Naeun so much and a day had never passed by that she doesn't wish she was back

'When was the last time you were here?' Hyunjin asked with a soothing voice

'When I was 13,today is the day I came back for the first time after she passed away'

Hyunjin was a bit taken aback,he only knew Nari had a big sister and a younger brother but he knew of her sister's death of course

He just didn't expect her to be that open about it considering Nari was the type to keep to herself even if it hurts

Nari closed her eyes,remembering the last time they were there,a faint smile painted her lips

'It was 2 weeks prior to her accident,she would always come here if she was sad or angry at Mom and Dad. I followed her and we sat at this very bench,she told me that she wanted to be an artist,like the ones who work at an art studio in New York' she laughed 'She always wanted to move at New York and I would always ask her to take me with her,she promised she would.Mom and Dad never agreed on her life choices but she was a rebellious spirit,the exact opposite of me and I knew she would be able to pull it off.I-'

Nari choked on her words,she stopped to compose herself and continued 'She told me to follow my dreams and not to be scared to be myself,because,as she would always say,we only live once.She told me to always come here if I ever missed her.I stopped going here because the memories were too intense.Her death was hard on everyone in the family but it was hard especially for me'

She turned to look at Hyunjin who started at her intently 'She was my first and only best friend,she meant the world to me and you somehow reminded me of her,which is why I like you'

Both of them were surprised at the sudden confession

It came as a shock though they both new it was not an intended flirt in any way

It was pure and genuine,they knew that

Hyunjin smiled and moved closer,pressing his forehead onto hers 'Thank you for telling me all these Nari' he murmurs 'You're the first person I feel connected to,I will be your best friend,I'll be by your side and be with you and annoy you forever'

Nari laughed 'I'd like that'
