Chapter 4
"Three years ago, your kind took my Sister. Tell me where you hid her and maybe then I'll be less sadistic enough to spare you."
Kagura gulped only to feel the pain on her throat. The way he looks at her shouts nothing but wrath and hatred. He seems so calm though his aura was different from last night.
But she still has to tell the truth...that he couldn't accept.
"I don't know." Still, was her one and only response, "My answer won't change aru. You can finish me off now or torture me here, but I'll never admit sins I did not do."
There was silence after she added,
"I killed no one other than that asshole...and I'm not guilty about it."
The same morning, silver Samurai and Megane is currently on their destination to the Shinsengumi's Headquarters. Last night they were too tired that the moment they stepped out of the forest, immediately, they split to head back to their own places.
That also means leaving the female Amanto to Sougo. Little did she know that it was him who carried her after Gintoki waved goodbye. Thin she may be, but she's one heavy sleepy girl. It even gave Sougo back pain.
Patsuan yawned, scratching his eyes, "Gin-san, do you think they would still pay us? Okita-san obviously did all the work back there."
"They better be or else I'm gonna pull all of their Chief's ass hair." He said pertaining to the stalker of Otae, Shinpachi's older sister.
So that's why the word 'Shinsegumi' rang a bell to them yesterday.
"How do you think she's doing?" Shinpachi asked.
"Who?" Even though he knows who it was the blue hair boy was saying. That reminds him they didn't got the chance to ask her her name.
"Her." And now they'll stick with the 'her' word.
Perm head maintained his bored. As much as the voices inhis head was telling him to see how Kagura was doing he just tried to shrug the thought off. It was not their problem anymore...or is it? Maybe not or maybe he just can't accept the fact that the killer is making him worry.
"It's none of our business now. We'll go as we plan. Get the money and play pachi—" He suddenly stopped picking his nose while Shinpachi didn't notice how Gintoki's face changed.
"No you don't! You're going to give me my salary!" He still demanded then stopped as well, "...Gin-san?"
"Patsuan, you did surrendered that brat's umbrella last night right?" Gintoki asked starring straight. In a crowd of people, there he saw one familiar purple umbrella. The one holding it was out of his sight because of all the people, but he was sure.
"Huh? Of course I did. Okita-san even said he'll be taking it as a souvenir." Shinpachi answered innocently.
That umbrella was the same as Kagura's.
"Gin-san? Is something the matter?"
Silver Samurai blinked and he was even more shocked to see the umbrella was now gone the same as the person holding it. Halucinations, a sign that he had too much Vampire hunting, that, he thinks.
