Chapter 13

NICK

I was on my getting lunch for Kaylin since it was 12 in the afternoon and she's still sleeping. from her night with her friends.

While driving I heard my music stop letting me I was getting a call. I look at it seeing a number that I dont know.

I hesitated before answering

"Yo."I said into the phone

"Oh so you can answer this number but you can't answer mine?"

"What you want Keisha?"

It was Keisha. I know her voice anywhere.

"I miss you and you on some dumb shit. Who you fucking?"

I laugh. "You aint my girl so why you tripping?" I Asked.

"Nick I love you."

I cracked up laugh. "Fuck outta here."

I heard her hissed her teeth. " Fuck you Nick." She said

I ended to the call with giving back a answer. Then put that number on the block list.

I put my phone down keeping my eyes on the road seeing I was almost at Chick-Fil-A.

I parked the car. Then got out walking in the restaurant. I walk up to the cashier and order Kaylin's favorite.
Cobb Salad and Ice tea. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a coke for me. I paid the cashier and collect my receite.

I wait for about 5 minutes before my orders were ready.

"thanks sweetheart."

" You welcome."

I walked out walking to my car. I rest the foods on tye top so they wont fall while I'm opening the door.

I opened the door. Put the drinks in the cup holders , then pyt the food on passengers side. I got in on the drivers side and made my way home.

I made my way in the house with me and Kaylin's food.

"Kaylin." I shouted seeing she wasn't in the livingroom.

I got no answers so I shouted again. Still no answer.

I made my way upstairs to the bedroom hoping she's still sleeping.

I pushed open the door seeing she was on her phone with her earpods in both her ears.

"You don't hear me calling you.?" I Asked scrunching my face up.

"No."

"Mama you gotta be aware of ya surrounding all the time. No matter where you are. You can't be having them two earpods in boo. You gotta be more careful boo." I said.
