You woke up as the sun peers through your window. You groaned as you force yourself out of bed and get ready. You examine yourself in the mirror. You had changed a bit over the summer. You looked more confident and mature. You got dressed in your uniform and head out, ready to tackle the day.
You waltzed into the great hall. Today you decide to sit the the Gryffindor table to compare your classes with your friends. You sit down as Lee, Fred, George stared at you. You were in the middle of eating your bacon when you noticed them watching you.
"Is there something on my face?"
You asked as their eyes were still on you. You turned to Hermione in confusion. She looked you up and down.
"You did change a bit from last we saw you. But in a good way."
Hermione said, complimenting you, which made you smile.
"She looks bloody brilliant."
You heard Fred mumble under his breath making you blush slightly. The golden trio was discussing their classes, so you turned to the twins and Lee to compare classes. All three of them are still staring at you.
"Oh knock it off. What are you oafs even looking at?"
"You just... you look different. Not in a bad way though I can assure you that."
George said, mumbling the last part and eyeing you suspiciously. The golden trio compare their classes, so you compare yours with the twins, and to your delight, you have all of your classes but one with the three boys. For your first class you have Transfiguration with McGonagall. As you stand up, you realize you forgot you tie in your room.
"Oh bloody hell I gotta go grab my tie!"
You told the twins and Lee as you bolt out of the hall and back to the common room. On your way there, you spot Nate in the crowded hall. You smile and walk up to him. You move around other students to talk to him, and you realize he's trying to eat Pansy's face. Your smile dropped and you could feel your face go pale.
"What the actual fuck Williams?!"
You screamed at him with tears running down your face. This had grabbed everyone's attention and people were whispering about what was going down. You were too shocked to hex him. You turn on your heel a quickly walk away. You hear Hermione and Lee yell at you to wait for them. You kept walking and found a secluded hallway. You slide your back down the wall and sit of the floor. You hold yourself as you silently cry. You hear footsteps and you don't even bother to look up.
"Go away."
You said to the unknown person. You feel them sit down next to you. You look up, your face red from crying. It's Lee. You crack a smile as he hugs you. He's one of your closest friends and his hug feels comforting.
"I'm so sorry y/n/n. The arrogant prat didn't deserve you anyways."
You continued to cry into his shoulder.
"If it makes you feel any better, Fred walked up to him and punched him. Hermione followed suit and hexed him. Fred's got detention. I've never seen him so mad..."
Lee trailed off as you lift your head up.
"Thanks for being here with me. You should probably get to class."
Lee smiled lightly.
"I told McGonagall you were sick and I was helping you."
Just as you were about to say something, Hermione comes around the corner panting.
"Oh my gosh y/n I heard you yell and I ran out and heard what happened I'm so sorry-"
You cut off Hermione's rant.
"It's okay Mione. I knew I wasn't good enough for him-"
This time Hermione cuts you off.
"y/n y/l/n I will not listen to you talk like that about yourself. You are coming to the Gryffindor common room tonight. You, me, Ginny, and Luna are going to have a sleepover to cheer you up."
Hermione said with a huff. You laugh at her agree to do it. You stand up and collect your thoughts. You had to get to class and finish your classes, or you would have so much makeup work.
"Thank you Lee and Mione. Can't wait for tonight."
The three of you exchanged smiles as you walk away, already dreading potions with Snape.
