The picture to the side is a way to plan your plot.
As you can see, first you have the introduction of your story in pink. You introduce the main characters, the place everything happens, and maybe give a bit of action.
In purple you have the rising action. That's where everything starts getting a little more interesting, or heated up, or whatever it is that gets your story to...
The climax, in blue. It's the part with the most action, like when the characters are about to uncover the thief/murderer/whatever, or when the war suddenly brakes out, et cetera.
Then there's the falling action, in green. This is the part where everything starts to get back to normal, or everything starts to get better, et cetera.
And last but not least, the ending. Now I think that's self-explanatory. You have the famous "And they lived happily ever after," or a sad ending, and the book finishes.
So these are the different parts of the plot, and if you don't have one of them, you better start planning and writing your book again!
Every part is VERY important, and of you have one missing the story doesn't work. The parts have to work all together for the story to work. This is all for right now, I hope you enjoy and that this has helped you.
Vote if it has!
