Chapter 6: As the Night Goes By

Hajime's POV

I sat in bed, towel stayed around my hips as I let the aloe air out so it didn't just instantly stick to my shirt when I got dressed. I looked around. My room was so boring. It was nothing like the others. A few minutes passed and my mind was blank. For once I wasn't over thinking. I just thought about Komaeda rubbing my back, honestly, it was comforting. I would never say so but it was. The pressure was calming to me. Flopping down, laying on my back without getting changed from my towel, I looked at the ceiling. 

" It's like everyday I'm running up hill. Komaeda, you never cease to confuse me. You decline what you have and take what you can't. Three weeks we have been on this island together. You smile, smile, and smile. You never open up to talk about anything but hope. Honestly, you're really annoying. I can't understand you. "

Great. I jinxed it. I went from having no thoughts to over thinking about you. I bit my lip and sat up. It's off limits to do much at night but I have to know more about you. You're honestly like everybody else. Boring and just make yourself seem cool. I got off the bed and quickly changed into my day clothes. Out the door I went running, I didn't want to get caught with the weirdo. Down past Togami's cabin was Komaeda's, I knocked on the door and impatiently waited.

About five minutes later with obnoxious knocking, Komaeda was up and answered the door, he looked shocked too see me, " A-ah! Hinata-Kun! I apologize for keeping you waiting. I am simply trash and I- " I just slapped him across the face, damn that felt good! Komaeda was drooling-? 

" Komaeda! "

" Yes, sorry Hinata-Kun~ "

" Come with me. "

" Not to question some great hope like you but isn't it off limits out here? I would hate to risk you at a time like this. "

" Komaeda, Shut the hell up. Let's go. "

He seemed to give in easily, shutting the door behind himself as he stepped out, he looked at me quizzically. I walked along the docs, It was a little more chilly outside but the smell of the salty ocean never left as the weather changed. I made it down to the sandy paths and stepped off the paths to the beach front. Walking along, I started kicking at the sand, would it slow me down, yeah, Komaeda isn't exactly the best to talk to though so it works. He was dead silent and following behind me.

I finally got far enough away from the cabins and sat down, Komaeda looked down at me and I tugged on his jacket. 

" Well?? Sit. "

Komaeda sat down, " I was honestly suspecting that you were going to Kill me Hinata-Kun, not that I would stop you. "

" I wouldn't kill you. You're not t h a t annoying. "

" That brings me so much ho- "

" Shut up, look at the water. "

Komaeda just agreed. I looked over at Komaeda, " Stars are pretty. " Komaeda nodded and he muttered softly which irritated me, like, just say it. He just nodded his head side to side swaying with the ocean as it  pulled up on the shore.

I decided to just ask, " Are you dying of some mental illness or something? "

Komaeda laughed at me, " Kinda...-? You're almost worse than me at this Hinata-Kun "

I looked at Komaeda taken back, " Hey! What do you mean I'm worse than you I'm not all like, ' Oh lEmmE fEel MySElF Up OH hInAtA KUn LEmMe JuSt TOuCh YOuR CheSt ' pfft. "

Komaeda snorted and rubbed the back of his head laughing, " Sorry about that, trash like me didn't deserve to lose self control, on a side note... "He trailed off and I smacked him. Komaeda looked at me trying to figure out what I wanted, he was slightly drooling again too. Komaeda got the point, " O-oh.. and you have big boobs. " I just stared in shock before throwing my hands at him which caused him to laugh and back up. " I DO NOT HAVE BOOBS! " Komaeda wouldn't stop laughing at me and I stood up, " Fuck this. " He calmed down and stood, grabbing my hand.

" Hinata-Kun, wait! "

" What, Komaeda. "

He gave a smile and held my hand tightly, " I can't sleep, It may be selfish for hopeless scums like me to ask so much of you but just stay out here,, please? " I groaned and looked at him, " Only because I cant sleep either but if you tell anybody I was out here with you, I am gonna try my best to ignore you for the rest of your life. Including when we get out of here. " Nagito's smile got even bigger, I seriously don't know how that was possible but it was. 

Nagito's POV

Hinata sat back down on the ground with me. There was nothing in particular he rambled about but Hinata just talked. He seemed to have forgotten the question he asked and I wasn't going to answer as clearly he is happy.

As the night went by Hinata slowly started falling asleep. We had talked and shared smiles till our early morning, I wanted to suggest we head back to the dorms but by the time I had turned to say so he was softly snoring.

 I don't have much strength but I could carry him... ish. I gently moved his head to the side and sat in a squat. From that squat I tucked my hands under Hajime's body and lifted him up. I let out a wheeze, " Holy... " After lifting Hajime Bridal style I had adjusted him so I held him like a child, legs on my hips and body leaning against mine. Maybe it was Hinata but the world felt as if in this moment, the weight, the skies, the sunrise, it all felt heavy and warm on me. " To honor Hinata-Kuns wish, I'll return him before anybody can see us. "

Too late.

HELLO EVERYBODY IT HAS BEEN ALMOST SIX MONTHS SINCE I LAST UPDATED! For those who didn't know, this account was shared. The friend who created this with me is no longer apart of my life but it was something we always wanted to do, or well, have me do. This story was a whole inside joke based on crack roleplays we had together but now seeing as they are gone, I can do one of two things, continue the story, or leave it forever discontinued.
