Who Loves The Sun?
Who loves the sun? It's battered and broken and beaten down to its core.
Who loves the sun? It’s jealous, and hateful, and selfish.
Who loves the sun? It fools you with its bright and beautiful light, and then it burns you.
Who loves the sun? It traps you in its warm embrace, and it won’t let you leave. And, if you do try to leave, it burns you yet again.
But this time, it burns you with guilt.
The classic “Nobody loves me” and “I’m only temporary.”The sun could have you forever, and never realize that it’s loved.
It takes what it has so for granted that it becomes ungrateful. The sun’s sadness is the sun’s own fault, because the sun can’t allow itself to love the sun.
Nobody loves the sun, because the sun doesn’t love the sun.Who loves the sun? I love the sun. But the sun couldn’t see that.
So now it’s nighttime, and it’s raining.
And I’m doing just fine..
