Nighttime happiness

The sun had started to set by the time I was walking back to the cottages. As I got onto the sturdy bridge road, I turned towards the girls' cottages first. Time to return this guide to Chiaki.
As I stepped forward,

"Hey!"

I turned around and saw Nagito who had what looked like around 50 clovers in one hand. He continued to smile enthusiastically. Have I accidentally started some kind of obsession?
"Hey, uh... that's quite the collection you got there," I observed.

"Heh, yea... thank you."

"Huh? For what?" I asked, confused.

"This is such a hopeful discovery.. I really got lucky today happening to talk to you about them." He looked behind me. "Oh, uh, I don't want to interrupt anything... cya!" He, then, left and went towards his cottage.

I turned to see what he saw, And Chiaki was there, her head tilted with wonder like a dog as she gripped her navy blue jacket. Her pastel pink eyes met mine, full of question.

"Uh... what have you done?" She asked.

"I don't know how this happened either." I shrugged, laughing a little. "Oh, yea, here you go."

I handed her the book. She took it and slipped it into her backpack, then looked back up at me.

"Want to stay the night again?" She questioned.

"Sure!"

I followed her inside her cottage.

We were playing Mario Kart, when I felt a tug on my shoulder. I looked down at Chiaki, who softly smiled.

"What's up?" I asked.

"THE SK-"

Before Ibuki's voice could continue, I shut the window.

"So..."

"Are you happy with yourself today?"

"Huh?" I didn't expect the question.

"I said, are you happy with yourself today? Usually when someone causes happiness in another person somehow, they feel good."

"Well.. I'm more confused. There's nothing special about three leaf clovers, they're everywhere."

"Maybe Nagito saw something in them that we don't, just like how I see something in enjoying games while others usually prefer to compete for wins?"

I smiled. "You could be right."

And so now Nagito has a three leaf clover obsession which could lead to many wholesome hours. In fact, if I ever get any ideas to branch off of this hc into small one-shots, I might add them to this story. Until then, byeeee
