Skye’s POV

Four months had passed since Craig and I began working at Tweek Bros, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Craig became best friends with Clyde, Token and Tweek, and still had a crush on the twitching blonde. He’s too chicken shit to ask Tweek out though. I’ve become extremely close with Bebe and Wendy, but the best friend award went to someone else.

“Lunch delivery!” A friendly voice brought me back to reality, it was none other than my best friend Kenny. He walked up to the counter with a brown bag and a huge smile plastered on his face. It was Saturday and I had been working the counter while Craig made the drinks and Tweek cleaned tables and occasionally took table orders. We tried to get Craig to wait tables, but he would just get frustrated and flip people off, so barista it was.

“What's in the bag? And aren’t you late for work?” I asked curiously, I looked at my watch, Kenny should have been to work 8 minutes ago. Kenny set the bag on the counter, his smile got bigger.

“It’s your favorite, and my dad recently bought the company and made me his partner, so no I’m not late.” Kenny explained, I nodded my head slowly and made an O shape with my mouth.

“Wait, my favorite?” A huge smile formed on my lips, I opened the bag and peeked inside, I gasped and closed the bag and ran out from behind the counter. I gave Kenny a huge hug and rubbed my face into his orange parka, he hugged me back tightly and chuckled at my reaction.

“South Park Subs have the best sandwiches!!” I released my grip on Kenny and walked back behind the counter, I took the sandwich out of the brown bag, he even remembered my favorite jalapeno chips! Craig scoffed behind me and kept making drinks, he still didn’t trust Kenny around me.

“Turkey, pepper jack cheese, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos, banana pepper and mayo.” Kenny smiled slyly at his own remembrance of my favorite combination. I ran to the back storage area and put my sandwich in the mini refrigerator and the chips on the counter. I ran back out to see Craig was taking Kennys order, while giving him the stink eye. I overheard the order, it was Kennys usual caramel cooler with 3 shots of extra caramel, with sprinkles. That boy had a sweet tooth bigger than mine, I made sure to make it just how he liked it. I walked back out from the counter and handed it to him personally with a bright smile.

“Here ya go Ken, and thanks again for the food! I can’t believe you remembered everything I like! Especially since the last time I ordered that with you, was a couple weeks ago!” I was still shocked, but happy that he remembered nearly everything about me.

“No problem Skye! Anything for you.” His cheeks turned slightly pink as he gently took the cup from me, our finger grazed each other. My heart sped up and those stupide butterflies had come back.

“Well, dads waiting, see ya later?” Kenny waved and walked out the door, I let a sigh escape my lips and walked back behind the counter. Craig walked up next to me and leaned into my ear.

“You should tell him you like him.” Craig whispered to me, I looked at him confused. I looked over at Tweek who had been cleaning spilled coffee.

“I could say the same thing to you, besides you don’t like Kenny.” I reminded him that he too had a crush and was indeed being a hypocrite. He scoffed, flipped me off and then walked off to the bathroom. It was true, I developed a big crush on Kenny the night he found out about my dad and how Craig and I were treated like trash. Dad still hadn’t found a job, Craig and I were supporting all of us financially, paying bills and buying food and whatnot. After I told Kenny everything, it wasn’t long before Wendy and Bebe had caught on that something off was happening at my house. Tweek, Token and Clyde tried to get us to go to the police, but we decided against it. We only had to wait two years before we could move out and we would be taking Tricia with us. A customer coughed loudly and I came out of thoughts and smiled, apologizing for not paying more attention. Craig and Tweek had gone off on their break, and the customer in front of me was the only one.
