"what?" mattia looks a me with a smirk. "nothing...why?" "why so serious?" "huh?" "you're so quiet. tell me soemthing. TALK." i looked at mattia, then looked back at the window. i was tired, like nothing seemed right today...everything felt off.
*at starbucks* "come on let me take a picture!" "no priscilla!" "SMILE!" mattia rolls his eyes.

"smile at least..." i say. "no we gotta study." "oh so all of a sudden you wanna study, since when?!" "um anyway, let's get to it." i take my books out for my backpack, mattia doing the same. "so christmas is coming up...got any plans?" "i don't know yet, i usually stay home with my family." "ah okay." "what about you?" "same, just at home with my family but this year we might go to Italy." "oh that's cool. do you have family over there or..-." "yeah family." "oh ok." "mhm." we study for an hour or so and mattia seems to be understanding everything which is a good sign. "which paper again?" "uh the purple one...the one i printed for the both of us." "oh okay." mattia leans over to pull out a paper from his backpack but then it slips from his hand. "fuck." mattia reaches to grab it. "MATTIA be careful you're going to-." as mattia grabbed his paper he knocks over my coffee spilling it all over my computer. "priscilla...i-i look..." i froze. all my homework, notes, everything was on there. "i'll buy you a new one priscilla look..." mattia looks down at me trying to clean up the mess. i don't know why i'm frozen. i'm not mad i'm just...shocked? i stand up putting my computer back into my backpack. "look it's fine just forget it. let's pack everything up and go back to your place. i don't even know why we came to starbucks." "priscilla-." "give me your keys i'll drive." "uh...-." i grab mattias keys and head my way over to the car. i felt werid driving his car but i was trying to stay calm. not everything was backup up. i guess it's my fault to for having my cup of coffee next to my computer, i should've known better. the way back home was quiet. mattia kept looking at me time from time wanting to say something but never did. i assured him all was fine but he seemed guilty still. i pull his car into the drive and grab his hand. "it's fine, please don't worry. it's my fault for leaving my cup next to my computer knowing it could fall at any given time. don't stress it please." he looked at me and back down at our hands and smiled and mouthed "i'm sorry".
