People go about their lives and ignore what is happening in the unknown. I was one of these people, but somehow I got caught up in a war because of my birth. Perhaps I’m too far ahead in the story, let me back up a bit.
It started with just getting up, as my alarm went off at five in the morning I groaned and shot up from a vivid dream I couldn’t remember. Breathing hard I wildly looked around as if not remembering where I was. When I had calmed down I turned off the irritating sound of my alarm clock. Before I could convince myself to go back to sleep I threw off the three layers of blankets covering my black and white dog, Juno. As I slide myself off the bed, Juno thought there was some sort of game going on and was thrashing around under the covers.
“Woops, sorry Juno.” I said as I uncovered her. I walked over to my closet next to my bathroom and pulled out my Star Dust Middle School Cross Country T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans stacked on the shelf above my shirts. Then I went to the dresser on the opposite side of my room and pulled out a white under shirt. When I had my entire outfit I strolled into the bathroom and my white crystal necklace dangled around my neck. I set my clothes on the counter and gazed into the mirror. I was still the same, I still had my high cheek bones that sat under hazel eyes and my messy brown hair.
I adjusted the shower temperature to my liking then in. The hot water ran over my past the birth mark on the back of my neck. The birthmark on my neck was one of the strange things about me. The birth mark was actually two wings that were unfurled, it looked more like a tattoo than a birthmark. When I was done taking my shower I turned off the water and took a brown towel from the rack next to the shower. I dried my body then my hair and got dressed. I reached for a brush and two hair pieces. I tide the Cross Country T-shirt up in the back so it looked like I was wearing a half shirt with an under shirt. I ran the brush threw my wet hair and put it into a pony tail.
I walk out of the bathroom to see Juno snoring, quietly I turned off the bathroom light and tiptoed out of my room. I left the door open just in case she woke up. I quietly walked out of my room and went down the stairs into the kitchen. Luke my, bully, brother was sitting at the table already and was eating a box of Oh’s. Oh’s was our favorite type of cereal, if we discovered there was a box stashed away it would be gone before our parents even got a spoonful.
“Ooo… can I have some?” I asked eagerly.
“Nope, just finished the last box.” He said it with pride knowing it would anger me. He was trying to push on my temper but I stayed clam.
“Okay,” I said. I made myself a sandwich and packed my bag for school. Once I was finished I looked at the clock, it’s only six? Wow. I pulled out my phone and texted Lulu.
Hey, can I come over?
As I waited for my reply, I heard a knock on the door. I looked threw the peep hole to see a woman in her mid-twenties.
“Who is it?” I turn around to see my dad, Robert, walking out of his room.
“I don’t know.” I said as I opened the door. The woman was about five-nine and had black hair, she was wearing a she was wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, and dark brown boots. At first she just stood there and stared at me. “Um… yes? May I help you?”
