I type my brother's name into google and the picture pops up on the screen. "Jesse, just because you have it hidden in your office. It doesn't mean we can't find it online." I show my brother's.
Trenton is the first to take the phone from me and he laughs. "Damn, dude. No wonder all the girls run after you when we go out. It's probably this picture they want you to sign."
The phone is handed to my other brother's and they bag him out of over it.
Brody looks at us and says. "That's enough of humiliating our brother." His phone goes off and he looks at it. "Shit!" He turns his attention to us. "It's Mason. He's on his way over."
Mason is my brother's best friend. He prefers to keep his friends away from me because he believes they will put me in harm's way if they do something to piss someone off.
Brody's been protective of all of us since he was a kid and he did everything to make sure that we were safe. He helped me out when I got bullied. After he showed them up I was left alone because they were afraid of the eldest Callaghan brother.
As my brothers and I made it to high school the teachers were aware that the Callaghan's weren't to be messed with. We all did exceptionally well in school and were at the top of our classes. Outside of class was a different matter.
We were feared amongst our peers because of the close bond we all had and the no-bullshit attitude we had towards others.
There's a loud rumble coming down the street and I pull the blinds across to see Mason in his new car. "Please, tell me that he didn't design the car himself?"
"He did. Everything he wanted was put on the blueprint and we had to follow the whole thing. Mason's hard to impress when it comes to cars."
I hear the car door open. "You better get the door. I don't want Mason gaining attention from my neighbours. You four already do that. Do you remember Tammin?"
"Yeah," Jesse smiles as he remembers her. "She was hot. I nailed her a couple of time. Whatever happened to that girl?"
"She got knocked up and moved away. She told me that the father wasn't going to change his ways and she would never ask him to do that."
He moves over to me. "Do you know who the father is?"
Looking my brother in the eyes I say. "I know who the father is. I promised her I wouldn't tell him until the time is right, but even as I talk about it now I know it's not right for me to tell him. It's best if she does it in person."
"Am I the father he asks?"
Shaking my head I say, "I know for a fact it's not you. You're not the only one in this house that slept with her."
His eyes widen as he looks at the other three. "Tell me which one is the father. I need to beat the shit out of them. He needs to man up and be the father to the child."
My phone vibrates and I see Tammin's name on the screen. I open the message and read.
Tammin: I know he's at your place right now. Is there any chance I can come by to tell him?
Me: Are you sure this is the right time?
Tammin: Yes,
Tammin: ...
Tammin: I've been kicked out of the place I've been renting because asbestos has been found and I have nowhere else to go. No one will let me live with them because of my son.
Me: You can stay with me. I won't turn my nephew or his mother away. Come over now. You can have pizza with us.
Tammin: Thanks, :)
Jesse looks at my phone. "Who was that?"
"Tammin. She will be here shortly."
"Is she going to tell the father about the kid?"
"I don't know." I move over to the couch that has a throw rug sitting over the top of it. I turn the TV on and watch the Motocross race.
The commentator says. "Lucy Tyler is in the lead and she's making sure that all the boys eat her dust. Just like her sister did before she retired." The camera's move to the crowd and I see Cassie standing next to her husband Callum Murphy who's a race car driver.
It's because of Cassie that I enjoyed riding a bike, but I never wanted to race in competition to show the world I was good at it. Riding is a recreational activity for me while the competitions are a way of life for the Tyler Sisters.
Those girls have become popular over recent years. Thanks to Cassie being on 'Meet Your Equal' with Callum. A lot of people thought the whole thing was staged for them to make Callum fall for his best friend. Which happened. It had to be her leaving that made him realize that his life isn't complete without her in it.
The best thing to come out of it was a friendship between Cassie and one of the female co-stars, who starred in a reality show a couple of months after the filming of Callum's one. She found her prince too in the show, but it took a lot of dating different men until she found the one that fit her perfectly.
Those two couples are the only ones that have been successful since the show started to run. The last two the couples lasted until before the finale was aired on TV and we were shocked to learn they weren't together anymore, but they were dating someone else from the show.
Mason walks into the room and takes a seat next to me. Pulling me into his arms he says. "It's been a while since I've seen you. How's everything going?"
I shove him off me. "Have you heard of personal space, Mason?" I move across the couch a little more. "I've been good. What about you?"
A smile spreads across his face, "Great since I've seen you again. Will you go out with me, Taylan?"
"No," looking him in the eyes I say. "I don't know how much rejection you're willing to take but remember this. There's no way in hell I am ever going to date you. I'm not going to get involved with people my brother's are friends with. All it ever brings is trouble."
Brody walks into the room. "Stay away from our sister, Mason. She's not going to date you ever. Remember what we've spoken about."
I stand up as my phone vibrates again.
Tammin: I'm outside.
"I'll be right back," I tell my brothers and walk down the stairs to the front door. When I get there I see Tammin with my nephew on her stomach in a sling and bags in her hands. I take the bags from her. "You know your way around the house. I'll be up after I pay for the pizza."
The pizza guy steps out of the car and heads in my direction. Pulling my wallet out of my pocket I grab the $50 note and give it to him. "Keep the change." I take the boxes and bags upstairs where I see my brothers standing around Tammin and cooing over the baby.
