It Was Her

Ch. 2: I'm trying! / Sophia

        Darkness... That's all I see as my sticky, heavy eyelids creep open. I manage to get up and crawl across the creeky floor, over to the dirty window, and open the ripped blinds. The sun's rays strike through the window like a knife through flesh. The sun's rays collide with my pupils making them tear up. I slowly get up and look at the clock, it reads, 8:37 A.M. I have the urge to lay back down because I was still tired. "I can't", I say. "I should, I want too, but I can't. I have a big day ahead of me!" I slowly walk myself into the bathroom, hoping the water works, if not it's a good thing I took a shower before I left yesterday. I turn on the faucet and the water comes flowing out like a waterfall. "Thank gosh!" I say. If the faucet works then the shower must work! I walk in to my room, reach down, pick up underwear, my robe, and a towel, then head back to the bathroom. I set my clothes down on the the toilet seat and layed my towel down on the floor. I turn on the shower, waiting for it to get hot , and I get in. About 20 minutes later I get out, dry off, and put on my robe on to head into my room. I pick out dark colored jeans with giant sparkly buttons on the butt, a navy blue tanktop with white polka-dots, and white braided flipflops that intertwine together. I check the clock and it reads, 9:17. I head downstairs, pick up the car keys, and leave, in hopes of getting a job.

        As I drive down mainstreet I see a cute, little restauraunt with a sign that reads "HELP WANTED". I park my car and head inside. I go to the front desk asking for the manager. He comes out and says, "Hi, I'm Ryan and you are?" "I'm Sophia." I say. "what do you want?" he asks. " I saw your help wanted sign and I need a job, I was wondering if I could get a job here?" I ask. "Have you had any experience?" he asks. "Yes, I have, I was a waitress at a restauraunt a few years ago." I say. "OK, but I will have to see if you are good enough, come in Friday, two days from now, and I will have you do some stuff to see if you are right for the job." he says. "OK, see you then, bye!" I say as I walk out the door about ready to explode with excitement!

        I hop in my car and go to a fast food place because I have not bought groceries yet, plus my fridge still doesn't work. I get home and the clock on my phone reads, 1:22. I still have lots of time before bedtime. So I go for a walk... It was the longest walk I had ever taken! I get back home and the clock on my pnone now reads, 4:34. I brought a few books to my new house with me so I went upstairs and read my most favorite book! I read it till sixish... I could read forever but I'm hungry and I still, of course don't have any food in the house so I go out to eat again and get a cheeseburger. By the time I got home the clock read, 8:16. It's still early but I am so tired to I run up the stairs, nearly falling on the way up! I put on shorts, a T-shirt, close the blinds and go to bed.
