It all started when I was younger. Not only did I have a burning love for dogs but I can say to this day that I think that I found my soulmate at a young age.

My parents had enrolled me into a school in the middle of the year since we had just moved into a new town. This, of course, I didn't like one bit but regardless of how much I fought, they made me go and start during one of the most stressful times of the year. I was enrolled at the Academy and without failure, my god-awful luck caused me to have issues already. And, of course, my parents couldn't care less.

My book bag fell to the ground as my body hit the ground harshly with some impressive velocity, I let out a choked gasp of both shock and pain. As I glanced around with my (h/c) hair swaying in the slight breeze, I tried to find out what it was that took me down like a bulldozer. I looked down the hallway to see a ball of white fluff racing through the halls; away from where my body lay, still convulsing in pain. As I saw the dog disappear around the corner, I heard a feminine scream before papers scattered around on the floor at the end of the hallway. This dog had claimed another victim, one as unexpecting as me. I pushed myself off the ground slowly to ease my aching bones as I looked around a bit more before seeing a hooded figure speed past me; they seemed to own the dog that was running rampantly. They were running down the halls screaming at the top of their lungs, the fluffy hood barely staying placed over their head.

"Akamaru! Get over here!" The much taller person sounded quite masculine as he ran through the hall after the dog. He didn't seem to even remotely care that his dog had knocked me over earlier, quite violently to add. I shook my head slightly in disbelief as he disappeared around the corner. I slowly followed the hooded boy, walking to the end of the hallway and turning the corner before gasping to at the horrific mess the dog had caused. Papers lay all over the floor in a scattered, irregular fashion, many people lay on the ground groaning in pain as they slowly picked themselves off the floor.

I looked to see the figure still chasing the medium-sized dog down the hall; his hood had fallen from his head in his state of haste, revealing a head of handsome, spiky, oak hair. Watching as people jumped out of the way to avoid the dog's path of destruction, I concluded that this boy held a very thimble and weak sense of authority over their dog. My head was growing tired from shaking my head out of disapproval and disbelief before I puckered my lips together letting out a deafening whistle. The dog stopped dead in its tracks as it reached the other end of the hallway; I finally managed to catch to both the dog and the owner. The last teacher standing flush against the wall in fear dropped the last stack of paper, answer sheets dispersing onto the floor.

The boy, hunched over as he tried to grasp at what breath he could inhale, turned around and looked at me, watching the dog pleasantly and happily trot over to me with its tail wagging.

"Uh, thank you but I had it under control-" He spoke I laughed as I motioned to the hallway

"It's pretty clear to me that you didn't and considering I was the first of many that your dog knocked over shows that, in fact, you have no control." I stated coldly with a condescending smile on my face. A scoff left his lips as he pushed himself up from his hunched-over posture with a source expression on his face.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Telling me what I have or don't have. You don't even look you're from around here." he said as I motioned for the dog to return to the front of the school where I and his owner were standing.

"Well, I'm not, actually. This is my first day and I just moved here so I was expecting a bit of hospitality." I snapped to him in just a way that he knew that I was very annoyed and upset. I just admit, I was a little rude but he did not need to be even more impolite. One of the affected teachers walked down to us as he smiled at me. His white hair and black bandana contrasted each other well. I smiled back softly
