The air was warm and the sheer fabric of the open curtains billowed slightly in the wind, I stared out of the window into the night sky trying to catch my breath. It's a clear night and we were high above the city but the lights from the building surrounding us still managed to hide the stars from view, I closed my eyes for a moment pretending they were there.

I loved the city, but I missed the stars.

The noise from the street below floats up on the warm breeze and fills the space surrounding me piercing the silence, he appeared from the bathroom pulling his cotton shirt over his broad shoulders and slipping back into his jeans.

My body was still warm with the slight film of sweat still present, my skin tingling from his touch, the smell of his cologne surrounding me, lingering on my sheets and that all too familiar taste of his lips, the combination of beer lingering from his evening and mint from his attempt to hide it.

My room was dark aside from the light from the window but I could just make out his silhouette as walked over to the bed, the mattress sinking as he sat next to me. His breathe was hot on my neck as he leant down to kiss my skin;

"I'll see you tomorrow Angel"

His lips met mine in a soft but passionate kiss, my body reacted instantly to him, arching upward to increase the contact, my fingers tangled in his messy brown locks.

He'd let his hair grow out a bit recently and I loved it, I loved that I could wrap my fingers in the slight curl, as they grazed around the back of his neck, and it was so soft.

His cotton covered arm snaked behind me, pulling me up to him, the sheet that was covering me, slipped down pooling in my lap, my bare skin pressed against his chest making him groan into my mouth, the noise making my heart race as I smiled against his kiss

"I really do have to go" he said in a slow drawl, with that soft accent that was so smooth at this time of the night

"I know you do but it doesn't change the fact that I want you to stay"

His kisses moved back to my neck, making me moan this time, he knows the feel of his lips on my collarbone and his soft scruff scratching my jaw makes me crazy, we both knew all too well exactly how to drive the other crazy, it was all part of this game we liked to play with each other,

"We had a deal, remember" he whispered

I playfully shoved his shoulder, pushing him way from me forcing him stand to avoid falling on the floor, his face bursting into a grin as he watched the mischievous smirk on my face.

I made no attempt to cover my body as I laid back on the cool sheets knowing full well I was being a tease.  I loved seeing that burn in his blue eyes as he made no attempt to hide where his eyes were trailing over my body

"I know I know, I need to get some sleep anyway, I was just hoping you could help tire me out a little more"

I smiled biting my bottom lip, running my fingers slowly down my body softly grazing the skin on my neck, across my breasts and over my stomach

"I guess I'll just have to figure it out myself"

He threw his head back and laughed, that deep hearty laugh that came from deep within his gut

"You'll be the death of me you know that. Night angel"

He whispered against my ear placing one final kiss on my neck and with that he grabbed his keys and phone from the table, and dissapeared out of the bedroom door.

As he had done every night.

Just as we had agreed.

I rolled over and thats when I saw something on the bedside table, he'd forgotten his watch.  I propped myself up on my elbow leaning over to pick it up. It was a beautiful, heavy, masculine piece and the metal was cool in my hand, my fingertips could feel some markings on the rear of the face so I reached up and flicked on the small lamp, allowing my eyes to adjust to the sudden light in the room, I turned the piece over and looked at the engraving, and there, in an intricate and beautiful script was simply the letters N.J.H.
