Chapter 3

Ward walked out of Whitehall's office and Drew followed him. "You mind pointing me in the direction of your weapons hold, soldier?" Drew asked Ward. "Level Four, second door on the left. You should pick up some Icers. And some supplies. Head down to Level Six, there's some-" "I'm good, just need some weapons." She said, cutting him off. "Um, yeah. Right, Level Four, second door on the right." Ward said, obviously worried about the mission. "Hey," Drew said, "don't let this get to you. It's just an assignment. We're just eliminating the threat, that's all. Easy as cake." "Yeah, yeah, okay. I'm going to go check on our plane, make sure everything's in order." Ward said. Ward walked off towards the plane hangers and Drew walked towards the elevator and pushed the button labeled 'four'. 

"The Director would like to see you. All of you." Koenig said."Oh what did you do this time, Hunter?" Bobbi asked. "Nothing, I swear!" He said in defense. "Somehow, I find that hard to believe." Bobbi said. "If the Director wants to see us, then we'd better go before we get in more trouble than we already are." Skye said. She stood up and walked out of the lounge where Bobbi, Hunter, Fitz, Simmions, and May were resting up after the underground explosion. The team was hit hard after they lost Trip, especially Skye. She felt guilty. She felt like she didn't do enough to try and save him. She kept replaying the moment he kicked the Obelisk and it exploded. The team walked through the compund and filed into Coulson's office. "Good to see all of you." He said. "We've got a serious problem. There's a threat against us, and it's Hydra. Word is that Whitehall hired Amelia Drew." "Um, sorry to be the village idiot here but, who exactly is Amelia Drew?" Skye asked. "Amelia Drew, the best soldier money can buy. You give her a mission, she gets it done without any suspicion or publicity. She's an unstoppable force." Hunter said. "Even better, she's invisible. She's erased herslef from every known database. And when anyone tries to gather intel on her, she hacks the system and deletes it. We don't even have a picture." Coulson said. "So in summary, she's, like, the silent assasian, smart, and unstoppable. Great." Skye said. "My source said that she was hired for a two-man elimination op." Coulson said. "Against who?" May asked. "Let me take a shot, us." Bobbi said. "Yup, looks like it" Coulson said. "And who is the other man on this op? Maybe we could get to them. Try to convince them." Simmions said. "I don't think that'll be an option, the other man is Ward." Coulson said. "I guess convincing's out of the question." May said. "Why? He sounds like a reasonable guy." Bobbi said."You obviously haven't heard about Ward." Skye said. "So what are our orders? Do we go dark? Do we stay and fight back? What do we do?" Hunter asked. "We play along, pretend we don't know the attack's coming. That's what they're least expecting, right? Then we capture Drew. Try and get info from her." Coulson said. "But how are we gonna break her? She's trained to hold up agianst interrogation, beatings, even torture." Hunter said. "I know, which is why we are gonna have to use the machine that resurfaced my memories of Tahiti." Coulson said. "But, sir, that machine is very unstable and unpredictable. It hasn't proven helpful for us and it isn't safe. You remember when you were in that thing. You remeber-" "Of course I remember, which is why it's my last resort." Coulson said, cutting Simmions off. "Dissmissed." He said, and the team left his office.
