CH 6: Confession

It was a Tuesday afternoon. The sun was shining bright, the breeze was subtle, the atmosphere was pleasant. It was a perfectly lovely day for proposals. 

The amphitheatre was full of students of all years. The classes were over so they were the students who were planning to hangouts or discussing about the classes.

EARTH'S POV...

I was standing on the stage with Mew and Singto. We were discussing our plan for the last time. Mew didn't seem to like all this set up. He thought of it as a personal and did not understand why we urge him to confess in public. I personally think that it would be better to do this in private... But there is this one thing inside me that urges me to make the plan work in a public place.

The reason is Ace, Gulf's ex who just came back. I think that everything was going at the correct pace until he showed up again. I am not blaming him for anything, but I want to show him how a proper apology should be between lovers. He just didn't care how much he had hurt Gulf back then. He showed no  remorse and then here we have Mew, this guy has been drowned in guilt for too long.

"When he is here, you will yell out your apology. Get it?" I asked Mew, he silently nodded. He must still be in a conflict with himself. "Don't disclose anything about your marriage here. If he walks away, then you'll be so done." Singto added a warning.  Mew mouthed a little "I know" and we left him there alone. He seemed to be gathering strength to execute the plan. 

But why the hell does Ace have to approach Mew now of all times? Damn this fucker.

MEW'S POV...

As Earth and Sing disappeared into the crowd I saw Ace coming to me. He was smiling weakly as always.

"What are you doing?" he asked me. He wasn't being rude, just curious. "I plan on apologising to Gulf for the last time today." I told him, it lightened my heart a little. "How and when?" he is too curious. "Today, here. He should be here anytime now" I told him. He was okay with it, he just pat my back and stood there to accompany me until Gulf came. 

I wish it works.

***UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING***

GULF POV...

P'Bai is dragging me to the amphitheatre, I think. She says that there is something important and she needs my help. She won't ask my help when I'm in this state until and unless it really is important. But what important thing came up suddenly that it just can't wait. 

I am not in the mood to go around anywhere. It feels too empty on my insides. I've been feeling like this for past three months. That's the same amount of time Khun Phi has left me. But why did he leave me. He said he loves me, I believed him. He said he won't leave me alone, but he left. I don't feel like doing anything. I have started to grow bored of even eating now. I know he won't like it if he found that I'm not taking care of myself, but does he really even care? 

He hasn't even shown his face to me. "Sorry" that's all he sad before leaving me. But why did he leave me. It can't be that night, I already cleared it up with him. My vision is blurring out. I saw P'Bai turn to me and wipe my tears away. "I don't think it will take time. I just can't leave you alone." she consoled me, she knows I want to go back home. Home... it doesn't really feel like a 'home' without Khun Phi there to hug me through the night. I want him to come back so bad.

***AMPHITHEATRE***

GULF'S POV...

Finally we're here, at the amphitheatre. Why is it so crowded. 

P'Bai is taking me towards the stage. Everyone is turning their eyes towards me. Their glares suffocate me, I can't even walk casually, it's so weird. Why do these people have to pay so much attention to me, are they not tired of my face?

I can see two people on the stage, just two people. It's Ace, he is talking to... MY KHUN PHI! What are these two doing together? Have they become close? Khun Phi knows what happened between the two of us, why would he be friends with someone who hurt me so bad?

I want to run to him and hug him. But I can't, he doesn't even notice me. I don't want make a fool of myself and drag him down. 

"Kana, sorry for deceiving you." P'Bai said to me as she stopped walking. I looked at her confused, I don't understand what she means. "There is someone you need to talk to and that is the important matter I brought you here for. It can't be delayed, it's already been too long. If you don't talk to that person now, I'm afraid you will be the one who is hurt in the end." she is telling me all this but I still don't understand why  is she being like this? She started to walk further, I followed her but she told me to stay there. She said, "You stay here. I'll be back in a bit.  Also, here take the keys. Hold them for me" she handed me the car keys and started to walk away again. Why is she leaving me alone. She knows I don't want to be alone right now the most.

Someone called my name from behind me, the voice is so familiar. I turned to see who it was and I could only be shocked.

AUTHOR'S POV...

"Gulf..." a weak voice on the verge of breaking called out, lovingly. The guy who was called turned around, on his sight he was shocked. Khun Phi... Gulf thought. Gulf wanted to hug this man in front of him so tight but the other man standing there was the intrusion. Gulf's soft expression changed to an angry and irritated face.

He's clearly angry at me, Mew's heart ached. He had finally got to know the actual situation and try get back with his wife. But there his wife stood, right in front of him, angry. 

"listen to me, just this once, please Gulf" Mew pleaded and Gulf nodded in allowance. Mew continued, "I'm sorry for being so stupid all this time. I thought I did the right thing by going away. I thought my presence would hurt you. I... I-I am really stupid. I never wanted to part with you...". Gulf could not stand the sight of Ace and walked away.

 He went to his car and drove away. Earth and Baifern had made it clear to Mew that no matter, he had to talk to Gulf today. So Mew followed Gulf, luckily Baifern had parked the car close to Mew's, this saved him time. Mew followed Gulf's car as closely as possible. He felt like a stalker for some reason. But he has no choice. If Mew wants to clear it with his wife, he needs to be right behind his wife. Even if he seems like a stalker.
