She and Julie sat on the floor in the high school gym, popping balloons with bobby pins.

"Your boyfriend really let me down," Julie said, sticking the sharp point into the side of a red balloon. Y/N rolled her eyes, picking up the scraps off the ground and placing them in a plastic bag.

"He's not my boyfriend, but yes, I know he did. They all did. I cannot believe they didn't even have the decency to show up."

"You're truly the only ghost I can depend on," Julie smiled in her direction and she winked back at her.

The girls heard the doors on the side of the room burst open. The three boys ran quickly toward them, Reggie with his hands in the air.

"Julie, we're ready to rock this...dance...." His voice trailed off as he saw the empty room with two tiny girls sitting in the center, scowling at them.

"I have nothing to say to you," Julie says, getting up off the floor and walking right past them. Luke turned to follow her but Reggie grabbed his upper arm, pulling him back in.

Y/N stood up and slow clapped the boys' direction, her eyebrow jutting up on the left side, with her hip popped.

"Great job boys, really, no truly, knocked it out of the park with this one," She eyed each boy carefully.

"Babe I-"

She cut him off "Luke, we'll talk later. Right now, you better get your minds racing, figuring out a way to make it up to my friend."

Alex nodded "We messed up big time."

"That's an understatement," Reggie said, running his hands through his hair.

Luke's eyes never left hers, trying to get her to say something to him. Instead, she snapped her fingers and poofed out of the gym.

Later that night the boys were sitting on top of The Orpheum, racking their brains, trying to figure out a plan to apologize to Julie properly.

"We could write her a song?" Reggie said, looking up at the open sky.

Alex shook his head "Nah, corny, and kind of surface level. We have to be honest with her and just apologize....and hope that in time she'll accept it."

They sat in silence for a few minutes before they heard a poof. Alex and Reggie looked around, but their third bandmate was nowhere to be found. They looked at each other and laughed.

Y/N sat in Julie's garage, stereo playing an old Fleetwood Mac album quietly in the background. She felt a slight pressure on her shoulders and shivered, turning to see that Luke stood behind her with guilty eyes.

"Hey," He said softly, bringing his arms down to wrap around her neck, leaning his chin on hers.

"Hi." She said flatly, refusing to look back up at him.

He moved his hands and walked around the couch to face her. "Y/N, I know we did something stupid," She nodded him along, and he smirked at her smart expression. "We just, our emotions got the best of us after we found out about Bobby, the records, it became so much to process."

She let out an angry laugh, shaking her head. "So you missed Julie's first big performance to....reflect?"

He ran his hands through his hair, taking a deep breath in. "Not exactly..."

Her eyebrow rose again, turning to face him properly "What did you do then, exactly?"

He reached out to touch her hands but was pushed back by a jolt of light, falling onto the floor in pain. Y/N jumped from her spot on the couch and ran to him, placing his head in her lap as he held his stomach tightly with his eyes closed.

"Luke, Luke, Luke," She said frantically waiting for a response "Lu, are you okay?" He smiled at her pet name coming back into rotation. When she saw he was awake, her initial fear dropped and she tried to maintain her previous scowl.

"What the heck was that?" She said, eyes wide.

He shook his head at her, still out of breath "No....Idea....that's...new..."

She ran her fingers through his hair a few times, helping calm his breathing. Once he was able to move to sit up again, a dark mark on his arm caught her attention.

She touched it lightly "What is this? You don't have any tattoos?"

"That you know of."

She glared at him and he chuckled "I'm kiddinggggg, we went to this ghost club with Alex's friend Willie who said that the man who owned it could help us get back at Bobby. Caleb gave us this mark as a 'stamp' to come back in with."

She rolled her eyes at him, "And you believe that's what it was?"

His forehead scrunched in confusion "What do you mean?" She touched his arm again, following the pattern.

"I'm pretty sure this," She followed the line again, her hand moving over to touch his chest before she set her eyes on him. "Has everything to do with him."

Luke's face was frozen in fear. She knew now that her frustrations about earlier tonight weren't the biggest problems they were currently facing. The look on his face left her so broken. In the heat of the moment, she grabbed him close and kissed him. He reciprocated right away, his hand grabbing her neck. As they broke apart, he grinned at her.

"So, wow, um...that's a first," He traced his lips with his thumb.

"What you did was stupid and reckless, but I...I can't lose you, and whatever that was made me fear that I might."

His eyes softened, bringing a hand to her cheek. She bit down on her lip as he spoke again "You've always got me."
