"come on, it's okay..." "she can't be gone..." "you okay?"
no, it was not okay. yes, she was gone. no, he was not okay.
"no. she's actually gone."
gasps. screams. cries of shock.
sobs.
the knife fell, chopping, chopping his heart into pieces. in his mind, he watched her fall.
again.
gasps sounded as her broken body came into view. he hear a small sob...and then realised that he was the one who'd emitted it.
a numb feeling settled over his body, blurring the scenery. just half an hour ago, he'd been running up the stairs of the building, trying to get her to stop...but she didn't.
maybe feeling numb was good. maybe it could lessen the brunt of the grief hanging on his body right now.
and then, he saw them
their--no, his--friends.
"where is she?" "is she okay?" "...we heard some rumours..."
the knife fell again.
"she's...actually gone..."
heartbroken sobs...
he clung to the love he still felt for her, let it wash over him, calm him, give him peace, sanctuary.
maybe it was best for him...to feel.
yes i am evil. i just killed someone without even giving her a life. how depressing.
the fourth chapter is more of an epilogue, but it is still a chapter.
have a nice day (even though you probably won't since i just killed one of our main characters)!
