{it was out of no where}

New Year's Eve. We all were counting down to zero. And as the ball dropped so did Jerome. On one knee. He pulled something out of his pocket and faced Alanna. She screamed, and I almost fell over.

"Alanna, would you marry me?"

"Yes, Jerome, yes!"

At that point I was on the couch, try to access what had just happened.

He's getting married. He's getting fucking married.

I can't believe it.

I knew he was getting seriously with Alanna. But, I didn't see it going this far.

He had just asked me to be his best man, and of course I said yes. But still, I'm devastated.

I had just started to see the real connection between us. But now that means nothing, he loves Alanna.

I get a call.

"Mitch! My man! When are you getting out here?"

"My flight leaves in half an hour. It'll be a while."

He's having his wedding in Florida. On the beach.

"Awesome! Can't wait to see you. I'll talk to you later." He hung up.

The flight went quite quickly, considering I slept the whole time. I haven't slept before then in weeks.

I got off my plane, dragging my stuff, to see Jerome, Ryan, Rob, and Vikk waiting for me.

"Mitch!" I went around and gave hugs.

"How was the flight?"

"I wouldn't really know."

We all rush to the car, considering how late it was, I just wanted to go to bed.

"You slept the whole flight, and you're still tired?!" Ryan asked.

"Don't worry about it Ryan, Mitch will be Mitch again once we start to party." Jerome turns and smiles at us.
