Out of Nowhere

CHP 13 RUDE AWAKENING

"Mitch," I woke up to Rob shaking me softly.

"Hmmm?"

"Get up," he whispered.

I groggily sat up.

"Be quiet."

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Shhhhhhh."

"Rob what time is it?"

"AUGH, Mitch why do you make everything difficult? It's 4:30."

"Did I really sleep that late?"

He facepalms. "No, A.M."

"Why in the hell am I up this early Rob?"

He turns around, and out of nowhere, throws clothes at my face. "Get dressed, we're leaving."

"Where are we going at 4:30 in the morning?"

"Ugh why do you have to ask so many questions? I'll tell you when we are out of here."

"What?" My head is pounding. Where are we going? Rob doesn't have a car here...

I shove my clothes on, and drag myself out the door. I stop in the doorway just as Rob drops the pen, on the counter, he was holding and walks out with a set of keys.

"Are you going to tell me what we are doing now?"

He shakes his head, "Not until we are on the road, I don't want you bailing on me."

I let out a huge sigh. I guess I'm committed.

We take a long silent ride down the elevator, and as we hit the ground floor, he steadily walks forward to the parking lot.

It's still really dark as I wobble around attempting to follow Rob.

He makes it as I'm halfway there, "Mitch, you're so slow." he groans, and comes back to get me.

My arm is continuously yanked until it is shoved as I am now in the drivers seat of the car.

"Rob, I can't drive."

I turn to see a look of anger and sadness in him, as he hands me the keys.

"Seriously man, my head really hurts."

He takes the keys back and puts them in the ignition.

Then, he buckles me in, and puts my hand on the keys.

"Start the car Mitch."

I somehow start the car, and put it in reverse.

Rob seems to relax as I go forward and head out of the parking lot.

We eventually hit the stoplight.

"Rob, come on, tell me what we're doing or I'm going to have no idea where we are going."

"Turn left here," he mumbles.

I proceed to turn left, but then drive to the curb.

"Robert. I refuse this car any further until you tell me where we are going."

He sighs and leans back.

"We are going to get Preston."

oops might change to posting once a week, much easier for me, and i like to keep you all on your toes ;)
