Chapter Eight

It has been a month since my birthday, we are going back to Hogwarts in the morning and I have not heard from Harry once. Dray has been really good to me, we met up with the quidditch team and decided to practice so we can beat Gryffindor again. Dray is looking forward to next year as apparently we are holding something called the quidditch World Cup, he's hoping that his dad will get tickets for the final. My trunk is all packed up, and Cissa has come with me to buy all my supplies and some new clothes. Dray and I have been together a month now, I can say he is the best thing that has happened to me he saved me from the hell hole. It's not long before I feel my eyes start to droop, so I climb into bed waiting for Dray to join me. It seems I was too tired to wait for him but I do feel as he joins me in bed as the sparks race through my body.
Dream
Harry is yelling at me "You are a disgrace to our family! Mum and dad would be disgusted by you! Your a snake" He then pulls out his wand "Avada Kedavra"
I woke up with a jerk, sweat is dripping down my face, I look at the clock on Dray's wall where is tells me it's half six in the morning so I decide to quickly jump in the shower as it is nearly time to get up anyway, I slip out quietly careful not to wake Dray. The shower is so refreshing, I cannot stop thinking about the dream. I can't help wondering whether Harry and I will end up reaching that point with the way we are going. Once I was done in the shower I get dressed, and I carefully fold my robes so I can get changed into them on the train. Before I slowly crawl onto the bed over to Draco placing a soft kiss onto his lips then his neck "Mmm can you wake me up like this everyday?"
"Nope, come on you need to get ready I'll be downstairs eating, you better hurry or you'll be late for breakfast" Draco rushes into the shower whilst I walk down into the living room where Cissa and Lucius are sitting quietly, Lucius reading the Daily Prophet and Cissa reading a fashion magazine. I decide to join them in reading pulling my old tattered version of my book, The Lion, the Witch and the wardrobe it is my all time favourite book. Soon their house elf Tabby tell us breakfast is ready and we all walk to the dining room where Dray is just walking down the stairs to join us. As usual the table is full of variety of foods, cereal, bacon, sausage, you name it and it will be there. I decide to have some coco pops and a full English breakfast, once I finished it Tabby came and took my plate and bowl away. It was time to leave, Lucius has a ministry car take us to Kings Cross Station. Even to this day I am awestruck about the Hogwarts Express, the platform is crowded as per usual with students and family. I spot the Weasleys and Harry, I see him quickly glance my way before looking away again, he now knows everything about me, about what happens at the Dursley's and he still wants to continue this stupid rivalry. I feel Dray softly squeeze my arms before he bids his parents a goodbye. Cissa wraps her arms round me tightly "We will see you at Christmas darling, have a good term and try not to let Harry bother you. It is his loss after all. I love you"
"I love you" she slowly releases me before I am embraced by Lucius "Try to stay out of trouble. Try your hardest and any problems owl me. I love you"
"I love you" As he lets me go I look at Dray, Cissa is now starting to tear up so they make there leave so no one can see this, we get on the train and go to what is known as the Slytherin side of the train as only the Slytherins sit there and unless they are desperate no other house does. We enter a compartment where Blaise and Pansy are already sitting I sit next to Dray before I hear a squeal, it's Honey and quickly jump up pulling her into a hug as we start excitedly talking about her holiday, how much we missed each other and I filled her in on what happened this is also the first time Blaise and Pansy heard it too "Georgia we didn't know" Pansy says quietly "It's okay, it's over now I am safe"
"Does Harry speak to you now?" Honey questioned, I shake my head "But everything you went through for him, he's your family" Blaise implored "Yes he is, but he's not my only family. I got my godfather Uncle Moony, I have Dray, I have Cissa and Lucius, I have you guys and hell I even got Uncle Sev if Harry doesn't want me I'm not fighting for it" I started calling Sev uncle after hearing Dray say it and it just felt right, he has helped me with my potions over the summer and he has started to train me in occlumentary, Dray has already learnt so it's another skill I have now developed. The journey went really quick, the rumour coming up the train was Gilderoy Lockhart was the new defence against  the dark arts teacher, makes me glad Uncle Moony gave me his books for my birthday I have read them about 20 times over the summer as well as making notes about what I thought was quite important to remember. Pansy, Honey and I go to change into our robes as we come back we see Harry, Ron, Blaise and Dray arguing "You are all evil! Turning his sister, twin sister against him!" Ron exclaimed "He did no such thing!" Everyone turns towards me "Dray has actually been helping me get over the fact that my twin abandoned me! Did he tell you Ron that I sent him a birthday present? And that he did not send one back."
"Because why would I send it to the Malfoy's they would know where I am and tell Voldemort!" Harry cried "Oh do grow up Harry! You were not the only one who was attacked you know, funny enough I was too but I just don't go on about it a lot and showing off. Now if you excuse me, my friends and I are going to get ready to get off the train. Take your childishness somewhere else" I barge pass Harry and Ron grabbing Dray's hand pulling him back into the compartment "Baby are you okay?" I nod "It needed to be said and I meant what I said earlier you guys are the family I need, you did not abandon me or forget my birthday and you never made me choose between my house and my brother. Now let forget about this as I certainly do" Dray looks at me worryingly but does not say a word. Before long we are crossing over the bridge that brings us into Hogsmeade station. I feel as if I am home but not home, I have enjoyed being at Malfoy's, they made me feel as if I belonged, they cared for me but now I am back here I will constantly be looking over my shoulder or what is being said about me by Harry and his crew. It can make me feel very depleted. We walk into the Great Hall and wait for the sorting to start.

Slytherin gain about 10 new students, 6 girls and 4 boys. As usual we don't get any applause from any other house when we have students join our house unlike when a student joins Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. The hall is full of whispers about the new teacher Gilderoy Lockhart, the girls are swooning and the boys are grumbling. Everything quietens down as Dumbledore takes the stand "Welcome Students, hello to new and hello to old, just a reminder of the rules, no going on the third floor and the forbidden forest is forbidden unless you are with a teacher. I would like to welcome Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, he is our new Defence Against the Arts teacher" Everyone applauded and cheered especially the girls I didn't really understand the fuss, I was a fan of his work but seriously a bit much. Sev looks like he is about to explode, he always has wanted the Defence against the Arts position but has never got it much to his annoyance, he reckons he will last longer than a year I suppose Dumbledore doesn't want to risk it. As Dumbledore finishes he waves his hand and all the food appears, I know I am a witch but I still find it amazing. I look over at the Gryffindor table to see Harry laughing happily with his friends it makes me angry, it is as if he doesn't care about me at all. I feel Dray squeeze my hands and it is as if the anger just disappears as I remember I got this lovely man at my side, I kiss his cheek softly. Dray smiles at me, then pulls me up and leads me to the Black lake "Nothing will stop us this year, Georgia. Together we are invincible and I will always be by your side" then he slowly leans down gently pulling me into a kiss. We stay by the lake watching the stars, Dray points out what he calls his constellation as it is called Draconian. Before long Dray pulls me up and leads me to our common room where everyone is sitting by the fire "Draco!" screeched Pansy "Stop hogging Georgia! You had her all summer it is our turn now" Dray blushes a little which causes us all to laugh. Before long we are all heading to bed, school starts officially tomorrow and I am not looking forward to the lessons with Gryffindor, I know Dray will try to refrain from biting at Harry's insults but why should he; Harry is pathetic and needs to remember where he comes from. Just because we got money now and fame doesn't make us forget who we are. I slowly close my eyes praying for a dreamless night.
