Chapter Five

It is Christmas Eve and I am sitting in the Slytherin's common room looking at Harry's present trying to work out whether to send it or not, we still haven't really spoken to each other apart from hurling horrible insults at each other. I don't like hurling the insults but he starts it and I won't allow him to walk all over me. Still to this day it hurts that he said I am not his twin but I try to let it go. I bought Harry a Quidditch Jersey with the number 31 and Potter on the back, I got it in Gryffindor red to show I do not care about our different houses but he obviously does. I give the present to Dray's owl and tell him where to take it before curling back up with my favourite book embellishing the silence. Before long I am jumped on by an excited Honey "Georgia come on, we need to get ready for the party!" "What party?" Honey grins as she pulls me upstairs, and throws me in the direction of Pansy who is ready with some make-up "Do not go overboard Pansy Parkinson!" She grins as she starts to do my make-up, I just sit there knowing there is nothing I do. Before long I am marched towards the bathroom where a stunning dress is waiting for me, I put it on before looking in the mirror. Pansy as done a soft green glitter smoky eye look that really brings out my red hair, paired with a deep berry lipstick which looks rocking with the glittery emerald dress I am wearing which I paired with a black pair of heels. The girls gasp as I walk out "Georgia you look amazing!" I grin and give them a spin "Bitches let go and have some fun!" We all head to the seventh floor where there are two boys standing "Password", Honey leans forward and whispers in one of their ears and they open the door where I am greeted by loud music and crowds of people. Pansy instantly goes towards Dray, Honey whispers in my ear "She is obsessed with him"
"Oh shush, its fine lets go have some fun!" We instantly gravitate toward the alcohol and the food before heading to the dance floor, we are joined by Vincent, Blaise and Greg, I notice that Dray and Pansy are sitting in the corner, Dray looks incredibly irritated before he storms out and Pansy come over to join us but I did not question the exchange with the look Pansy gives me. I carried on to enjoy the party before we headed back to the dorms to head to bed. The Christmas tree is bare but I know in the morning there will be all our presents waiting for us. I lay in bed wondering whether Dray is okay and whether I will see him in the morning, I hope I do this is my first proper Christmas with people who want to spend time with me, I am not locked in a cupboard with Harry. I am a little hurt and upset as this is my first Christmas where I won't be with Harry.

FLASHBACK
It is Christmas at the Dursleys, Harry and I are laying in the cupboard we are listening to Uncle Vernon come down the stairs with all of Dudley's new toys. Harry and I are in the small tiny cupboard, holding onto each other's hands "Merry Christmas Georgia"
"Merry Christmas Harry" Harry pulls me into a hug before handing me a small object wrapped in what look like a t-shirt "Didn't really have anything else to wrap it in, sorry" I smile before pulling out my present for him wrapped similarly. We both giggle together as we unwrap it, I have bought Harry this badge he has been wanting and Harry bought me the small teddy bear I have been wanting. I threw my arms round Harry, I was so happy.

I jerk awake, the memory should be a happy one but it is so bittersweet now I pull the teddy from the memory from under the pillow. This is the first time Harry and I have been able to buy each other anything, it was only last year and a year later we aren't even talking. The next thing I know Honey is jumping on my bed "MERRY CHRISTMAS GIGI!" I can't help but laugh before I can respond I am being pulled out of bed down the stairs towards the common room where Pansy, Blaise and Draco are sitting round the Christmas tree; I sit down between Dray and Honey before long we are all exchanging presents I do not rush to open my presents I rather see everyone else's face when they opened their presents. The excitement dancing in all their eyes filled me with such joy especially when it came to my present and I get a whole load of thank yous and your the best. Before long Dray realises I haven't opened my presents "Gigi, is something wrong?" I shake my head then I start to nod my head "Normally I am opening my present with Harry; I know I shouldn't care about him after the things he said but it makes me sad that he's not here with me" Dray pulls me into a hug and before long everyone has joined for a group hug "I know you feel like you have no family, but we are your family now. We love you, we care for you and we will always be here for you" As Dray finishes his little speech I cannot help the tears that roll down my face "Thank you" I squeezed them all tight, we stay like this for a while before we decide to go and get dressed and head down for some food. The rest of the day is filled with snowball fights and me finally opening my presents; Dray got me a really nice winter cloak (it is so warm!), Pansy got me some of her perfume as I keep using hers because I love it, Blaise got me some sweets and Honey got me a journal to write things down whether it's my feelings or whatever it's my choice. We all noticed the lack of presents from Harry but I decided that when he comes around he will feel bad. We head down to the Great Hall for dinner when we walk in we notice one table, the others are gone I couldn't believe help the dread that I felt; this means sitting with Harry and his crew I tried to ignore it. I sat with Dray and Honey by my side and Blaise and Pansy sat across from us, there was two students from Ravenclaw who were there before us and just as we sat down the group from Hufflepuff arrived so now we are just waiting for the Gryffindor lot. It seems the food won't arrive till they do and I can sense Dray's hunger and frustration but before he can really lose it; they walk in. My heart start to race, my palms become so sweaty and my throat becomes tight, I look down at the table wanting nothing to do with Harry but of course the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are sitting together at one end so they had no choice but to sit next to us. Harry sat next to Blaise and Hermione and Ron sat next to Honey. I try to avoid looking at Harry but my eyes glance towards him, he is laughing at something one of the Hufflepuff student has said, he looks so happy. Doesn't he miss me, I slowly eat my dinner when I feel like I've had enough without telling anyone I just get up and leave; as I walk out I feel the eyes on me. I walk to the common room and watch the fire; slowly my eyes close as I let the exhaustion and hurt take over.
