Chapter 1:

"How It Started"

You dragged your feet along the school's tiled floor. You let out a sigh and opened your locker. You switched your supplies with the ones you needed for your next class and you slammed your locker shut. You made it to the Traffic Grounds. Hundreds of students in your grade were shoving, pushing, and rushing to make it to their next class.

"(Surname)-chan!~"

You turned around and frowned. It was Izumi Yuzu, a girl from all of your A-day class periods. She thinks y'all are friends which is bizarre because you don't have friends. Not that you're a loner or a freak, you're a very likable person. You just never bring yourself to have friends.

Izumi's known to be bossy and a crybaby when she doesn't get her way. She was, in fact, bossy, but you've never seen Izumi's tantrums in action, you just heard about them. You don't want to talk to Izumi, you don't want to talk to anyone at all. You want to tell Izumi you're not friends and want her to leave you alone, but you just don't have the heart to do it. You're a very sweet and caring person. Even though you're an introvert, you're still caring and understanding to others.

Izumi skipped over to you and clung onto your arm. Your breath hitched from her touch. You were uncomfortable. You didn't like human contact too much, if not, at all. Your stiffness to Izumi's clinging didn't falter.

"(Surname)-chan~ do you wanna hang out today after school?" Izumi asked in a sing-song voice. Izumi batted her eyelashes and gave you an innocent smile. You let a sigh escape your lips and you pried Izumi off your arm. After regaining your composure, you turned to Izumi.

"Sorry, Izumi-san, but I have volleyball practice today, I can't." That was a lie. You have this week off from practice. Your volleyball team doesn't take practice seriously, they hardly practice at all. That's probably why they don't win any of the tournaments.

Izumi pouted and slouched, "Aww!~ You're so boring, (Surname)-chan! You need to loosen up a bit!" She stood up straight and placed both her hands on her hips. "You should hang out with me and my friends this weekend!"

Once again, you sighed. "Again, Izumi-san, I'm sorry but I can't. I also have plans this weekend." That was also a lie. You just really don't want to hang out with Izumi. She pouted, "Boo!~ Well, can't be helped. Bye-bye, (Surname)-chan!" Izumi waved her hand as she walked out. You didn't bother to say goodbye back. You turned around and continued on your journey to your next class.

As soon as you pushed your way out of Traffic Grounds, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turn around to see a boy, probably a third year. His skin was tan and he had short, dark brown hair and green eyes. He was tall and... kind of scary. He looked like he's a violent person.

"Hi... I'm Iwaizumi Hajime, third year. Can you... come with me, please?" He asked. He looked like he wasn't going to give you much of a choice. So, you simply nod your head. He grabbed your arm and took you to an empty third-year classroom. He pushed you into the classroom and shut the door. Right now, you were a bit terrified, you felt as if you were getting one of your rare social anxiety attacks. You did have social anxiety, but it wasn't too bad. You'd rarely get social anxiety attacks.

What's he doing? Is he gonna rape me?! Wait, we're in school, he can't do that here. Ugh, why am I here?! A million thoughts went through your head. You tried to stop them, but they just kept coming.

"Ooh!~ Iwa-chan, you gave me a cute one!"

You knew that petty voice. Honestly, who doesn't? You let your eyes trail up to his face. His hands were on his hips and his body was bent forward slightly as if he was studying you. But he wasn't. He gave you a cheeky closed-eye smile, his smile immediately faltered when Iwaizumi slapped him.

"Iwa-chan! Why'd you do that?!" Oikawa whined. Iwaizumi just rolled his eyes which made Oikawa pout. "Stupid, you need to tell her why I dragged her here!" Iwaizumi shouted at Oikawa. You flinched at his loudness.

"Oh, right!" Oikawa turned to you. He smiled and bowed at a 90-degree angle. "Please be my fake girlfriend!"

"W-what...?"

"Yeah! You're about the only girl I can find that doesn't like me. I mean, who can't like someone like me--" Oikawa was cut off when Iwaizumi socked him in the stomach.

"Idiot..." Iwaizumi muttered while he straightened himself. Oikawa held his stomach while he tried to stand up straight.

"As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," Iwaizumi glared at Oikawa which made you flinch. "I need you to be my fake girlfriend because there's this girl, her name is Hisayo Rizo. She's super obsessed with me! She thinks we're dating!" Oikawa crossed his arms and let out a 'hmph' before continuing.

"Anyway, I need you to be my fake girlfriend so I can get rid of her. She follows me everywhere! She was cute at first but now she's getting annoying."

You nod your head in understanding. "Okay... I guess I'll help" Oikawa gave you a bright smile and Iwaizumi just gave you a small one. You may not be comfortable around people but your kind-hearted nature couldn't help but agree. It shouldn't be too long.

"Well, meet me at the Boys' Volleyball Gym after school! You can stay until practice is over and then we can introduce ourselves. Bye!~" Oikawa waved his hand as he walked past you to make it to his class. As Iwaizumi walked by he placed his hand on your shoulder and you looked at him.

"Thanks, I can finally stop listening to him whine about her" You chuckled at Iwaizumi's statement. "Of course, I feel kinda bad for him so I couldn't say no." You said.

"Okay, but if he does something stupid tell me so I can beat the crap outta him!"

You stifled a laugh, "Sure!"
