i've walked across
mountains and valleys, all for you.
to the land of no return,
i shouted your name.searching, in vain,
for your bright blue eyes
amongst the blank stares
of the lost and the forgotten.when you are found,
it is with the golden boys
and the beautiful girls
who wear matching smiles.you act as one of them,
tossing your head back
to celebrate the life you lead
to celebrated the lives you've saved.but I see past your
forced grins
faked happiness
strained laughterand find your
troubled eyes
trembling fingers
deep, heavy sighs.you are tired and well-worn,
years of scars has taken a toll.
yet you are still the very same
lost, frightened little boy.and as you watch from afar,
praying that the gods shall heed their call,
you began to wonder if leaving
was the right choice.but your time has come,
you've said so yourself.
so you simply sigh
and give a small smile,as we lay under the stars,
just a little bit broken.𓄀
