Beyonce POV

It has been days now and Shawn still doesn't wanna sit down with me so that we can talk about Elias but today I have a strategy that will force him to talk to me.

"We're gonna see daddy today my boy," I cooed in my baby voice as I took Elias out of his baby seat and took his diaper bag too. He immediately laid his head on my shoulder as I closed and locked my car.

Today I'm making a surprise visit to Shawn's work place. Since I've been given a couple of days off work to sort out the whole Elias situation, I can go to Shawn in the middle of business hours.

"Excuse me but where can I find Shawn Carter?" I asked the woman at the desk.

She then typed something in her computer then she turned to me with a smile. "He's still in a board meeting on the next floor. You can-"

"Don't worry. We'll wait for him in his office," I said walking away without even waiting for her response. I walked up the stairs and made it to the boardroom floor.

Shawn's face was priceless when he saw us through the glass wall of the boardroom. He got pale all off a sudden and that made me chuckle.

"Afternoon ladies and gentlemen," I said walking inside and it was all eyes on me.

Shawn chuckled nervously as he walked over to us. "What are you doing here?" He said through gritted teeth.

I smiled at him as I walked closer to him. "What does it look like? Our son wanted to see his daddy. Ain't that right Lias?" I turned to Elias who had his baby hands out for Shawn. I leaned forward and handed Elias to him.

"What's the meaning of this Beyonce?" He mean mugged me. "Excuse us for a second," he announced as he guided me out.

Looks like I captured his attention. Now we can talk privately.

"Why did you do that Bey?" He spat as we walked inside his office. I went over and sat on his desk and he sat on his couch.

"You forced me to do this. I asked you nicely the other day to talk to you but your stubborn ass didn't wanna talk so now you have no choice but to listen," I said. He sighed as he got up from the couch still holding Elias then he came to sit on his desk in front of me.

"So what now?" He shrugged. I got up and stood between his legs as we locked eyes.

"We're gonna do this together alright?" I said. "I'm gonna teach you everything I know on how to take care of Lias. We should not make our son feel like an orphan just because his biological parents aren't around anymore. We should step up for the sake of our son."

"Why do call him 'our son' though?" He titled his head at me.

Just when I was about to answer, I noticed that Shawn had his other hand on my waist and he pulled me closer to his body. I wanted to break free from his grip but I didn't wanna be rude.

"Because he's our son Shawn. You gonna have to get it through your head that he's our responsibility and that you're now a father to him," I said with my hand on his shoulder.

"Its gonna take a while for me to finally act like the father you deserve big guy," he smiled as he looked at Elias. "Alright then. Teach me how to do 'stuff' for the little guy."

Just when I was about to talk, his office door opened, revealing a woman. "Mr Carter, there are some papers we'll like you to sign," she said. She looked like an intern or something.

Shawn looked at her with a smile. "I'll be out in a minute. I'm still busy with my wife and son," he warmly said then she walked out, closing the door behind her.
