That was weird because it was perfectly sunny about 30 minutes ago...
Ash stopped talking about whatever she was saying because she could see that I was no longer paying attention.
"What's the matter? Pay attention to me you hoe" she smirked
"Nothing... but isn't it weird how cloudy it got all of a sudden? Also, don't start with me today, skank. Eat your waffle before I end you."
"If you say so" she shrugged "I wish you would end me. You won't. Pussy."
"Anyways.." I sighed "Haven't you noticed the smoke smell? It smells like shit in here. It's overwhelming..."
"I did but I didn't want to say anything in case the cook had burned something. I just didn't want to be a bitch" she whispered "We should go out, I've already left the tip. "
"Alright, let me grab my bag," I said
As we left the Waffle House the smell of smoke got only got stronger. I wondered if a building was on fire nearby. The smell was slightly acidic. If a sewer line could catch fire, this is what it would smell like. Ash got in her car and the ground shook. It was so strong that I lost balance and fell flat on my ass.
"What the fuck was that? Are you ok?" she asked from inside the car
"Yeah I'm good," I groaned. I brushed myself off. As soon as I got up again the ground started shaking again
"What the hell is going on?" I shouted
"Seems like an earthquake" It was hard to hear Ash over the sound of the ground quaking.
I thought of Daisy. She was home by all by herself during all of this mess. The ground went back to normal and I jumped into the car. I didn't want Ash to drive if it really was an earthquake. So I asked her if we could wait it out in the car.
All of a sudden we heard the earthquake sirens wailing. We had about 4 of them in town, one of them was across the street from where we were parked. One of the sirens stopped suddenly, then another. A second later the third one shut off. The only one left working was the one across from us.
We saw what had been shutting them off. A... creature was climbing up the pole that the siren sat on.
"WHAT IN THE GODDAMM SHIT FUCK IS THAT" Ash screamed
"I DON'T FUCKING KNOW BUT DRIVE, DRIVE THE FUCKING CARRRRR" I screamed back
She turned the key as fast as she could but it was already too late. The creature had spotted us sitting like ducks in the car. It walked on all fours, then stopped. It hunched over like a cat about to pounce. I knew that It was already too late for us.
It jumped
The creature landed on top of the car, smashing the sunroof open. It grabbed Ash from her seat in one hand and me in the other
"AAAAAAAA I SWEARGODISWEARTOGODISWEARTOGODWHATTHEFUCKIS GOING ON WHATHEHELL"
"WHAT THE FUCK ILL KILL YOUR ASS PUT ME DOWN IM GOING TO BEAT YOUR FUCKING HEAD IN"
It was twice the size of an adult man in height and bulk. Its claws bore into my back as it held us. It seemed to be looking, analyzing our bodies. Its face was... symmetrical... with large eyes that seemed to know my deepest desires...
