The Umbra of the Spirits

2-Seventh Heaven

Resin woke up and certainly did not expect to find herself on some forest floor, surrounded by dry leaves and.....MUD!! 

WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS SHE DOING IN A POOL OF MUD??
MUD?!?!!?!

She tried to get up, but was pinned down by two strong arms that were wrapped around her. She turned around to see Alex unconscious beside her. She quickly untangled herself from him without waking him up, it was easy for her, they both had drifted off to sleep countless number of times on the same bed since they were children. 

After she took a clear look around her surroundings, she concluded she was in a real forest. She gently nudged Alex to wake up when he didn't move she tried again, when he still didn't move she stood up and kicked him, really hard. That did the work as he sat bolt upright, taking deep breaths. 

He looked at her with a look that screamed, 'DID U JUST KICK ME MADAM?' 
Resin matched his look with a look that screamed
'YES, ANY PROBLEM?'
Fuming he stood up and his gaze softened, for god knows why

And then it all hit Resin, the blood in her house, that weird words carved into her house floor, the writing on the wall, everything. She looked at Alex horrified, as if reading her thoughts Alex moved closer and kept a calming hand on her shoulder. 

"What am i doing here?"  Resin asked finally. 
"I am just learning how to portal, we were meant to land in the castle, instead i got us both to the  middle of Vetiti forest." Alex said.

"Tsk tsk -WHAT?" Resin asked 

"Oh! yea i forgot, you don't know about this world do u? this is the
 'World of Alithis'- the real world!"

Resin looked at him confused, "umm...what?" she asked.
"Oh little darkling, the world is a wider place, a bigger one, not just a place of endangered, extinct and other animals, where the homo sapiens rule, but a place filled with wonders, a place where the spirits, the monsters, the heroes, the people, everything you have thought were legends, everything you thought were just bed-time stories, are all true."

He let the information sink in, inspecting her carefully as the gears clicked in her mind, she looked at him and finally said, "What's the proof?" 

Rolling his eyes, Alex said, "Close your eyes"
When Resin didn't do that he repeated,
"Close your eyes and pay attention to your surroundings"

Resin closed her eyes, and she heard the chirping of the birds, the rush of the water, the soft rustle of the trees, the slow but steady breaths of Alex, the sound of rustling of dry leaves as small animals ran upon it, but most of all she could feel a tingle on her skin, it was like small sparks of electricity erupted on her skin, wherever the air touched it.

"Close your ears" She heard Alex's command.
And she immediately clamped her ears shut and breathed in the scent of the forest around her. The tingle on her skin was much more pronounced, it brought goosebumps on her. She eagerly breathed in the scent of wet mud, which was so sweet, and along with that scent, there was something else...

She could feel the air around her enter her system, she could feel the air as it went down her wind pipe, into her lungs, tingling every part it touched, and then she started to see a vision, a bright light blinded her, then she saw the sun, then the moon, she saw  galaxies and the planets. It was all so magical!!

"Open your eyes"

She opened her eyes and gasped! The forest was not forest anymore!  I mean, it was forest, but a different one, the trees had leaves on them, but the leaves were of different shades, and fruits, she never saw before, hung on them. She turned around to see, creatures she never saw before, she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around, and almost gave a yelp!

There in front of her was a creature, it looked more like a spirit actually, the creature had a Lion's face, a Wolf's body, a fox's tail and an Antelope's antlers. 

"That's Liloxan, ur spirit guide" Resin heard Alex. 
"Welcome to the world of  Alithis princess"
Liloxian said, making Resin gasp in wonder.  
"Spirit guides can speak Ress" Alex chuckled.

"Where are we?" Resin asked.
"We are on a different planet, this is called the Kingdom of Seventh Heaven-i-i am the Prince of this kingdom" 
"That's so amazing" Resin whispered. 
"I guess" he replied.

They both started to walk away from the forest,  towards civilisation and soon they were out of the forest.

As soon as Resin walked out of the forest, Resin couldn't breathe!!! She couldn't believe her eyes! She rubbed her eyes and saw again, her eyes were not deceiving her!  Resin immediately rummaged through her pocket and took out some paper, 'WE' was written on that. 

This is not a dream, she concluded, because she could read, so this was real!

This was true, she was really seeing it!!!

"He was wearing a Black tee-shirt, the same color as his hair. He looked up from his position on the floor, his lively green eyes staring into her Vibrant violet-blue  ones. His fair skin was a perfect contrast to his black hair and tee shirt, he blinked at what just happened, and chuckled. His smiling eyes, never leaving hers."
