I'm very aware that I have something important to do. That's what my subconscious mind has been trying to get me to do for a while. But here comes my problem, the reason why I can't follow my mind's order. I'm in a very deep sleep, one I don't plan on waking up from any time soon due to the fact that I'm having this weirdly nice dream.
Nia, my best friend, and I are jumping from one chocolate mushroom to another like children as we race towards a finish line where the winner gets the biggest candy apple I've ever seen. Weirdly enough, everything in my dream scape is made up of chocolate. From the lush green grass to the clouds, populalating the baby blue sky.
I would really love to get that candy apple but Nia was already one mushroom away from getting that red beauty and I was two mushrooms behind her.
Total Bummer!
Nia jumps to the next mushroom but doesn't proceed to the finish line. I smile in victory, moving quickly to get to the last mushroom which Nia is standing on, her posture rigid.
I'm coming for you, baby!
My excitement is cut short as luck throws me to the side walk. I slip on the mushroom and prepare to die in my dream. But as fate will have it, Nia turns quickly, grabbing my arms to keep me from falling. I, on the other hand, quickly swallowed the scream that was about to erupt from my throat like a volcano a moment ago.
I spoke to soon. I watch as Nia's rich blonde hair withers away like dead leaves during autumn. Her chubby, rosy cheeks sink in and high cheek bones protrude. Ash brown hair sprouts out of her head. Her tan skin becomes nearly white and fresh as a babys' bottom. Her emerald green eyes darkens to pitch black before winter grey eyes bloom to life. As realization dawns on me, I gasp as Nia transforms into Fred , the nerd I've never spoken to. The one with mysterious winter grey eyes and a more mysterious personality.
What in the world of chocolate cookies is happening here?!
What's he doing in my dream?!. As if hearing my thoughts, his smile becomes a menancing frown. Then he smirks as if an idea just popped into his head.
"Wake up", he whispers before letting go of my arm.
It feels like I've been screaming for 365 years. My ears are ringing like my school's annoying bell. Thankfully, reality took a hold of me and threw me into my awaiting body, who layed dormant when i was in the world of screams.
I wake up with a jolt. I've stopped screaming but the ringing continues. My thoughts are too clouded with sleep to make any move to stop the irritating sound. I cover my ears with both palms, hoping to drown the sound. All I receive is a louder ringing mocking my attempts.
Why won't this blasted noise stop??!
I pop my eyes open in utter frustration to find the source. It was there beside me, on my lamp side table, openly staring at me with it's multiply evil red eyes, all shaped like dots connected to form 7:00 AM.
The Alarm Clock!!!!!
With all my negative emotions channeled into my hands, I knock it off my table.
Thud!!
That was satisfying. I sigh with relief and proceed to sleep back. But luck has once again left me at the mercy of my enemy as sleep drifts out of my eyes and leaves me awake.
I might as well get ready for school.
