"Where am I?"

"Mum? Dad? Chloe?

He could only hear a piano piece playing in the distance, he started running closer and closer till he could hear the melody playing clearly.

It was a boy with brown hair sitting on the piano stool, his back facing Clay.

"Who are you?"

Clay wakes up to his annoying phone alarm that's vibrating on his table side. He sits up straight and turns off the alarm, sighing.

"First day of school.. huh.."

Clay looks around the unfamiliar room which is full of boxes, suddenly remembering what happened before. A week ago or so his father was bringing his sister to her piano lesson, out of nowhere they had gone into a car crash, resulting to both of them dying. After their death, him and Clay's mother made the decision of moving back to the UK last second. Even if it wasn't the best idea, they just needed a fresh start.

Clay got up from his bed, got ready for school and made his way downstairs as he got greeted by his mother. They both weren't in the greatest mindset, so the atmosphere wasn't very cheerful. Clay took a granola bar, grabbed his bag and phone then left the house. He thought he heard his mum mention an umbrella, but guessed he was just half asleep and his mind was tricking him to hearing stuff.

He wasn't looking forward to going to school and leaving his previous friends from Florida, not as if he was close to them or anything but he just felt bad for leaving them in such short notice. Good thing was that his mum had somehow got him into a school where Clay's childhood friends Nick, Darryl and Zak were in.

Clay left the UK and moved to the US at the age of 13, he and his old friends would keep contact, visit every Christmas and keep Clay updated on things every now and then. After they had found out he was coming back, they were extremely happy, but hearing the news of what happened to his sister and father wasn't.. good. What mattered is that he wasn't going to be alone in such a massive school, and he wouldn't get lost at all!

A few minutes later, he reached the school entrance. Nick noticed him immediately, screaming Clay's name at the top of his lungs and giving him a massive hug. Clay hugged back. "Hey Nick- y'know you don't have to scream my name while there's so many people here-..!" Whispered Dream. "Yeah yeah, I'm just happy to see you back here." Nick replied. "Mhm..." Said Clay as he looked down at the ground.

There was a moment of silence, Nick opened his mouth but nothing came out. He was about to ask if Clay was okay, but he knew that was a stupid question because... yeah. Nick broke the silence "Well erm, you want me to come with you to the reception to get you sorted out and stuff?" "Sure, I don't even know my way around this place so you and the others gotta help me out." Said Clay

"Alright, come on let's go."
Nick started walking, Clay followed along.

At last, it was recess. Everyone got up and started packing up, then one by one they left the room. As Clay left the room, he accidentally bumped into a boy with brown hair. The boy fell onto the floor and dropped what seemed like music sheets. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going" apologised Clay. The boy on the floor replied "Oh- no it's alright don't worry!"
