Loving The Slytherin Prince

The Start Of 4th Year

Y/n's POV:

So it is the start of 4th year and I was waiting for the Malfoys to arrive at my house so we could go to Diagon Alley to get our supplies for school. Unfortunately my Mother made us go with them every year because they where 'close family friends' which meant I had to see stupid Draco all the time. He was always such a dick, calling me names all the time and shoving me around, he was so annoying! I just wish I could go with my best friend Pansy instead of him! 

I was waiting in my room for what felt like forever when I was finally called downstairs by my mother indicating that they had arrived. When I walked into the living room I was greeted by a hug off Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy (Draco's mum and dad) and when I looked over there shoulder I could see Draco looking at me with a smug smirk on his face which made me role my eyes. When we had finished greeting each other my father said we should get going so I grabbed his hand along with my mothers and we apparated to Diagon Alley with the Malfoys following shortly after us. 

When we where all regrouped my mother told me and Draco to go to get the stuff we needed for school together and to meet them back in The Three Broomsticks once we had gotten all our things.

 Once they had gone I turned to Draco "where would you like to go first?" i asked in an annoyed tone because I clearly didn't wanna be here "I don't know, anywhere you want." he replied in an equally annoyed tone. It was clear he didn't wanna be here either "Flourish And Blotts it is then." I said making my way through the crowd to the bookshop Draco following swiftly behind me. 

When we got in there I wondered off to one of the back isles away from Draco so I wasn't anywhere near him. When I collected all the books I needed I set them down on the desk at the front.

 I had completely forgot about Draco but when I went to grab my bag full of books a pail hand grabbed them before I could.

 I turned around to see who it was and Draco was stood there paying for the books I had just grabbed and placed there to buy "what are you doing?" I asked confused as to why he was paying for my books and equally as confused why he didn't have any books for himself. He just looked at me and turned around and began to walk off. "Hey!" I shouted running after him.

 He slowed down so I could catch up to him, once I was at the side of him he turned to me and said "yes y/n?" as if he didn't hear what I just said to him.

 "What are you doing with my books and why did you just pay for them?" I questioned confused, "carrying them for you" he replied beginning to walk off again as if it was a normal thing for him to do for me. I just stood there confused for a second thinking 'why is he being nice to me all of a sudden', I jogged after him "why did you pay for them as well?, I have money you know" I said "Because I have money to spare, and I'm just being nice." he replied looking at me with his silver eyes. I just looked back at him like I was in some sort of trance, lost in his eyes until he eventually looked away.

 "Why are you being nice to me all of a sudden?" I questioned slightly confused because he had never been like this before, we had never spent this long together without arguing with each other. "Do you not want me to be nice or something?" he said smugly smirking at me, I just rolled my eyes at him and looked away. I heard him chuckle beside me which made the corners of my mouth tug up into a slight smile.

 "Do you need to go anywhere else?" he said breaking the somewhat awkward silence "no, what about you do you not need to go anywhere to get some things too?" I replied in a calm tone trying to keep him being nice to me even if it was only for a day "no, I don't need anything I already came with Blaise earlier today in hope that my mother wouldn't make me come again so I didn't need to see you" he replied emphasizing the word you making me a little sad. 'So long for him continuing to be nice to me' I thought to myself as we walked back towards The Tree Broomsticks to meet our parents so we could make our way to Hogwarts Express.

 We sat down at the table that our parents were at and ordered two butter bears before we left.

 Once we had finished we stood up and made our way the the platform 9 and 3/4, we waved bye to our parents as we left for another year of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
