Chapter Seven
Flower PowerComostro stood in the Royal dining room, the King was just getting his mid-day meal. All he could think about was Soran, why had the Gods decided to damn him to love someone he can't be with?
"Comostro my friend." The King moved his hand asking him to come over. Comostro bowed his head walking over
"Yes my King?" Comostro looked at him through guarded eyes.
"One moment," The King looked around at his other guards "Please leave us, Comostro and I have business to attend to without other ears." The guards looked around at each other and then to Comostro, he nodded telling them it's okay to leave.
They rushed out leaving silence behind them. King Terrga took a sip of wine from his glass, his lips coming back slightly redder "What's her name my friend? And don't try to tell me that you don't have someone, we both know it, we were friends long before this crown and we will be friends long after, so tell me about her."
Comostro swallowed, he had thought he hid his feelings well. "I met her at the ball you had to celebrate the summer solstice, her name is Soran"
"Awe the green eyed one she is a good maid to my Queen, well what do you intend to do about it?" His voice was kind and seemed to be hiding his own emotions.
"Nothing King Terrga, I am a seer, marriage is not in my fate." Comostro stood tall, the words were hard to say, all he wanted to do since that night was hold her in his arms and dance.
The King cringed as if the word King in front of his name made him wish he wasn't there "Please, we are talking as friends call me Heran." He said his first name and his shoulders relaxed slightly, "and take a seat, we are just two men talking about a woman."
Comostro sat in the chair next to him, the table made out of an ash wood with about 20 chairs along the length. "I can't do anything about it, even if I wanted to."
Heran sat back in his chair, "If you could do something what would you do?" he folded his arms in front of his chest
Comostro looked at his King, his friend. He had long blonde hair that made him look regal, but his round face and his blue eyes held bags under them reminding Comostro that he is just a man. "I would hold her, I would dance with her, I would bring her flowers every day, I would love her."
"The rules state you are not to marry, last I checked it said nothing about not being able to love. It would be awfully cruel to give you a soulmate just to have you two unable to be together" Heran looked over at Comostro. "Love my friend is a gift and a gift should not be rejected."
"What are you telling me to do sire?" Comostro asked his brows knitted together.
"I am telling you to follow your heart, to do something for yourself." Heran stood, Comostro quickly standing as well. "I will advise our court to take no notice." He quickly turned from man to King again and walked out the dining room door leaving Comostro with so many more questions.

The water floated above Soran's head as she walked from the river back to the castle. It hung there like it was held in a bowl when nothing but Soran's powers held it.Merna came up beside her holding her pail of water, "I so wish I had your power Soran, it must make getting baths ready for your Lady much simpler."
