I slept well, I didn't wake up in the middle of the night, or too early. Just on time, normally I would be going to work about right now.

My eyes were open, staring at the ceiling, waiting.

I got a text from Hinata,

okay. it's sweet and all, but
I feel sorta bad.

I get it. I'm probably
going to live with Lee
for a while when I'm
released. I feel bad,
like... I don't want him
to think he has to do
anything for me

exactly. naruto is a
total sweetheart, but
I don't want him thinking
I'm stupid for getting
drugged... or that I can't
take care of myself.

"I'm glad. How are my parents without me around?"

I let out a small laugh. "How many hours?"

"Four."

"I told you not to bring it up. My old man will go on for much longer if you let him. You're lucky he didn't keep going on forever."

"I am lucky that Metal needed to get to bed. Anyway, I am on my vacation time right now, so I have about two weeks before I have to get back to work."

"Honey pleasseeee don't use your vacation time. I won't be out for another four days. You can go back."

"No, no. It is really alright. I never take time off normally, so it is okay. Do not even worry about me. Actually, I wanted to come see you now."
