Me and max are in our room shes fixing her skateboard and I'm reading my magazine about karate kid when I hear billy yell at me. He always aims his yelling at me "MELANIE ARE YOU GETTING THAT OR NOT?" "OKAY" I yell back "do you want me to come"max asks "no it's fine your skateboard need fixing" the bell rings again "SWEAR TO GOD MELANIE" I get up and walk out of our room past billy and to the door. I open it and see lucas standing there. I look back and see billy isnt watching. I close the door and step out "what are you doing here?" I question "I have proof" "what?" "Proof that what I told you was real. But we have to hurry. Also wheres max?" What kind of proof? And in our room"  he tells me the plan and I walk back inside quickley as I tell hi to go round the side. I close the door and turn around to be faced with billy. I go to walk past him but he outs his drink on the draws blocking me from getting past "who the hell were you talking to?" He asks. I hesitate "Mormons" I say as more of a question. Shit. "Mormons?" He asks with a tiny laugh breathing smoke in my face "talkative ones" I say and push his arm going back into our room. "It was lucas. So her yours stuff ready he has proof" she grabs her board "but not your board" she puts it down and we walk to the window to see Lucas standing there on his bike "come on hop on. But one if you is gonna have to run" he says. I jump out first and get on the bike "sorry max I'm not running. She rolls her eyes and jumps out "this better be good stalker" I say as he rides off. And max runs behind

We get to the junkyard and max is out of breath. I kaugh and get off the bike when I notice dustin and I believe steve Harrington. "I said medium well" lucas says and they look up at us. Lucas waves and we walk down from the hill.

Me and max are helping them paddle up the bus I guess when I hear Steve says "hey dickheads, how cone the only ones helping out are these random girls?" We laugh "the only dickhead here is him" i say to max as we laugh

I grab a ladder and put it up through the hole in the ceiling so we can Reach the top of the bus.

We are all sat in the bus whilst Lucas is on top. Steve keeps clicking his lighter and dustin is pacing up and down I smirk at max "so you really fought one if these things before" I say and he looks at me and nods "and your like totally 100% sure it wasnt a bear?" I ask making max laugh "shit dont be an idiot okay?it wasnt a bear" dustin says to me "why are you even here if you dont believe us? Just go home" I stand up "Geesh. someones cranky." I step on the ladder "past your bedtime?" I say and walk up the ladder. "Its kinda awsome" I say "huh?" Lucas asks "the fog, I mean looks like the ocean." "You miss it?" "What?" "The ocean. The waves? California?" I look down "Hawkins seems pretty lame I bet" "no,no,no its nit that it's just..." i trail off "our dads still there so..." "why?" "Its this legal term called divorce" I say "see when two married people dont love eachother anymore" I joke "yeah" "my mom and my step-dad they wanted a fresh start away from him" I feel my eyes beginning to water "as if...he was the problem. Which is total bull. And things are just worse now" he turns on his side to face me "my step-brothers always been a dick but now hes jsut angry...all the time and...well he cant take it our on my mom so...." "he takes it out on you and max?" he says "mainly me. Me and him go at eachother all the time. In the car, at home. Anywhere. I'm the centre of attention when he wants to yell at someone max very rarely" I wipe a tear from my eye "I dont even know why im telling you this...its just I know that I can a real jerk like him sometimes,  and I dont want to be like him. Ever. I guess I'm angry too and...im sorry" he looks at me jesus what's wrong with me I say wiping my eyes "hey. Your nothing like your brother okay?" I look at him "your cool and different and your super smart and you like totally tubular"he says making me laugh  "you know nobody says that" "well I do now" I laugh "and it makes you seem really cool" "I like talking with you Mentalmel" he says referring to my video game anme I'm guessing he found out "and I like talking with you stalker" then we hear a massive roar. "Lucas. Whays going on?"dustin says "Hold on" he says back "I've got eyes then o'clock then o'clock" I take the binoculars from him and look "wait, your sure that's not a dog?" "What?"
Then we steve walking out. I walk back down to max and dustin. "Nice convo with him eh?" Max says smirking "I will feed you to those creatures" I say and we look out "hes insane" max says "hes awesome" dustin says. We wait a while until la bunch of them come out from the fog. He runs back in and then they attack the bus. I see max look up and notice the creature. I push her out the way making sure she's doenst die and steve steps in. "You want some?come get this" he says when all of a sudden the creature stops. And jumpsnoff the bus. I see max smirk at me and I look down and notice I'm holding Lucas's hand. I quickley let go and so does he. We open the door and steve walks off "what happened?" Lucas asks "I dont know" me and max say in sync "steve scared them off" Dustin said "no. No way there going somewhere" steve says.
