Chapter 4 | When you get cursed

My breath was wheezing, my legs couldn't keep running anymore, they were failing more and more and in an instant i was on the floor. I heard footsteps approaching, i couldn't give up now, no this wasn't the end! I got up even though with difficulty and i kept running as fast as i could, darkness filled the forest but i could see where i was stepping thanks to the moonlight.

" There! " I heard a voice behind me a little distant but it was enough to make my body come alive and run with everything i could.

The fear intensified as the forest got darker, i felt like the forest had eyes and was watching me. I was lost, the moonlight disappeared. At that moment i was there alone, in that darkness without knowing where else to go, maybe that was the end, i had no more strength to escape, my chest was burning, i could hardly breathe, i gave up, that was the end.

The steps came closer and closer, but i couldn't see anything around me, the darkness was so intense that I wondered if the vision had not been taken from me.

"Accept your destiny! " said a voice next to me " Accept the darkness! "

I heard a door open and my roommate came out of the bathroom wearing only his towel, his body was still wet.

" You are too noisy even when you sleep " he said going in front of the mirror and snapped his finger, in a fraction of seconds his towel was replaced by jeans, in another snap a T-shirt appeared on his torso that was naked before, as well as a pair wearing shoes and then walked to the closet and put on his black cloak " Do you even know that you're late? " he asked bringing me back to reality.

I hurriedly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready, left in a few minutes and noticed that I was alone again, went to the closet and took off some pants, a T-shirt and my only pair of shoes, I put them on and then put them on my black cloak and a white bracelet.

I left my room in a hurry, Theodore handed me my schedule yesterday after the ritual. Yesterday was a day that I would not like to repeat again, in the corridor I could see the gaze of people, that look of judgment, some people even changed direction as if i were a kind of predator, as if at any moment i would show claws and attack everyone, what bothered me most was the fact that everyone seemed to know more about me than i did myself. Yesterday when that woman called me a Killer i was sure that she made a mistake in person, after all i never killed anyone, at least not that i know, and the worst of all is that i didn't even know those people, but they seemed to know me well.

I continued to walk out of the dorms building, passed the campus and was soon in the classrooms building, my first class was Practice of biological spells for beginners in room U23, a smile appeared on my face when i realized that the teacher would be Theodore Witherman, i really needed to talk to him, I needed answers, a lot of answers, after all who was that woman ... and if she was a LeatherWood it meant that we are family, right?
