Hawks pov
Nightmare was long gone, but I continued to hold Y/N's shaking body in my arms. She mumbled and whined. She reached out at nothing. She curled into a ball, but she did not come to her senses. I don't know how long we sat there, but after a long time, she finally stopped moving. I moved hair away from her face and started rubbing her head. She did not move. What ever she saw, it wasn't good.
Y/N: "K-Keigo?"
Her eyes flutter.
Hawks: "Y/N! Are you ok?"
She tries to move but looks pained.
Hawks: "Don't move, just explain what you saw."
She was quiet for a while but she finally spoke. I was in a playroom with that girl. I was laying on the floor and she was tending to wounds I had all over. Sh was also wounded. She had cuts and bruises from who knows what all over her body. We played for hours together. She was kind to me. Finally, people came and took me away. I struggled against them, but they still took me. The girl screamed and cried for them to stop, but she was only beaten. Then it ended."
She sat quietly in my arms not making eye contact with me.
Hawks: "So you were experimented on?"
Y/N: "I think so, and i don't think it was legal."
Hawks: "From the sounds of it no. You were rescued. Do you have any idea who the little girl is?"
She ponders this.
Y/N: "Could it be Nightmare?"
Hawks: "That would make sense. She is the one giving you the memories."
Y/N: "If that's the case, then was she experimented in as well, what were the experiments and why us two?"
Hawks: "Don't think to hard, your head has been through a lot."
I stop, in the distance I hear an emergency siren sound.
Y/N: "What's going on?"
She tries to sit up.
Hawks: "Nope don't even think about it, I'll look."
I stand up and grab my phone a notification lies on my Lock Screen.
EMERGENCY!
Everyone please find shelter. Intense villain attack in the area. Imminent danger.
Hawks: "Nightmare finally decided to attack. The whole city is going into lock down. I don't know why though."
Y/N: "pull up a news feed."
I go sit next to her and do as she asks.
News anchor: "BREAKING NEWS! Brain dead people have flooded the streets. With every person they touch, they add people to their ranks. Nightmare and allies, are attacking quirk research facilities quickly and violently. Pro hero's are trying their best to gather the victims, but haven't found a way to gather them without being affected themselves. They are also looking for Nightmare. Y/N the only hero able to fix these people is still in hiding and hasn't been seen."
Y/N: "I have to go out there! People need my help!"
She looks to me begging me to let her go. Even though it's against my better judgement, people need help. I help her up and pick her up.
Hawks: "The moment things get crazy, we retreat, no butts."
Y/N: "deal!"
I fly out the window and towards the city.

Y/N pov
My head screamed at me as we soared into the sky. My body was still exhausted from the flashback, but we were in the middle of a crisis. A crisis only I could stop. What am I going to do. I can't heal everyone. There are 100 maybe even thousands of people victimized. I would burn out after healing 5. More and more concerns flood my mind.
Hawks: "Y/N, look."
I stop my thoughts and concerns and look down at the streets. They were flooded with brain dead zombies. They stood struggling to move around. So many flooded the streets. I could see un affected people running away trying their best to dodge the zombies. Most didn't.
Y/N: "No way."
Hawks: "This is bad. How did she do this so fast! What even is her quirk?!"
Y/N: "I don't know but we need to land and you need to help the people who are not yet affected.  I will start healing since I am immune."
Hawks: "Are you sure?"
Y/N: "positive."
He places me in an alley way the quickly get to work ushering people away from the brain dead. I run into the fray. I wonder if there is anyway I could use my quirk without touching them. I wonder if I could heal more. I kneel and place my hands against the tarmac of the street. I reach out and use my quirk. I enter the black emotion state. Around me I see all the peoples manipulated energies. I first try to push Nightmares quirk away. Nothing moved. I tried again. Nothing. I then wonder if I could absorb them. They will have no affect on me therefore... I call the  orbs of manipulation toward myself. The inch towards me. I push more. The move quickly. They hit me. I felt the chaos of mangled emotions take over my being. My mind spiraled. I fought for my life against the onslaught of madness. I don't know how long I was there, but I finally won. I opened my eyes to see the people around me staring.
Person: "Are you alright?"
Y/N: "Y-Yes i am ok, you all need to evacuate the area, you don't want to be infected again."
A wave of exhaustion came over me as I struggled to stand.
Hawks: "Are you sure your ok."
He said from behind me.
Y/N: "I'm fine... we have to go..."
I say breathless. I wobble over to him.
Y/N: "Even if I'm not ok, I don't have a choice. The people need me. Let's go."
He reluctantly picked me up and took off. We landed in different spots and I healed more and more people in masses. We ushered them into nearby buildings and flew off to the next spot. By the fourth go around I could barely stand.
Hawks: "Baby bird, you need to stop. Or at least take a break. You barely have the strength to stand."
Y/N: "O-one more. P-please."
He shakes his head.
Hawks: "No, we are gonna sit here and rest. The pros have most civilians safe, you have pushed your quirk to the limit, and there are still at least 4 more spots we would need to hit before most civilians are back to normal."
Y/N: "Exactly why we need to keep going. I will be ok."
He frowns.
Hawks: "Spare 10 minutes. Please! Close your eyes, rest for 10 minutes."
Reluctantly, I obey. My eyes close without a second thought. I was exhausted. My quirk was spent, my head screamed, my body was numb. I fall asleep quickly.
Nightmare: "How are you darling?"
Nightmares voice floats into my self conscious
Y/N: "Where are you?"
Nightmare: "Here and there. Like I said earlier today, I'm a busy women."
Y/N: "Why this, why take over the minds of innocence? Why are you attacking quirk labs?"
Nightmare: "How have you not put it together sister. Was the small memories I returned not enough. Should I give you the memories of the surgeries and the abuse that have haunted me for years!"
Y/N: "We were lab rats, weren't we?"
Nightmare: "Yes. You were born in the lab. They wanted to create an army of people who could control the minds of others. I and many other kids had our quirks changed into quirks like yours. I was the lost successful. Unfortunately for the others, they either went mad or died. I was the last one. But the quirk the engineered for me was unstable and broken. I could control the kids of others, but slowly mangled their minds. Not only their minds, but my own as well. After we escaped, we were separated. The people who did the experiments escaped and were never found. I vowed I would rid the world of quirk manipulation of any kind. Quirks should be left alone. The pain that comes from changing them is to much."
Y/N: "I am sorry. This is my fault. You can't fix them can you, and you didn't mean to spread your influence so wide."
She was silent.
Y/N: "Come to me, let me fix you. I am the reason for your quirk change. I will fix it."
The connection was cut and I woke up.
Y/N: "She is coming."

Hello peoples. I am proud to announce the final chapter of the nightmare story will be coming later this week. I will how ever still be writing In this story. I will write shot scenarios that I come up with and I will also take requests. I am still looking for an idea for my next story. Please comment. I have narrows it down to two people. Bakugo x Y/N or Dabi x Y/N comment which one you would prefer and I should start it by the beginning of November. You can also comment requests of scenarios with Hawks!
