I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing and I'm guessing I have to answer the call.
I rush from my bed to the bath tub as I just realized that I'm already late for our summer lesson. I fasten into my clothes and rush to go off when I hear my moms call.
"Yea Mum"
"Where are you heading to dear?"
"Our lesson starts today"
"Oh...my ain't you late already. I can drive you there yunno"
"I'm late but ion wanna stress you so its okay"
"Well...I can drive her there mom"Derrick says this with a smirk.
" That's gonna depend on your sister " Derrick immediately starts pleading in an eye contact way that only I can understand and I can't help laughing.
"I think I can go on my own mom" I can see Derrick see Derrick's priceless face and then I decide to end the teasing and tell mom he'll be the one to drive me.
We head straight to the car and then he start the engine with a smile on his face, I then decide to break the silence.
"So...how much is my Derrick Browne"I say this and stretch my hands to him.
" I knew it Mira"
"Knew what?"
"You can never help in a genuine way"
"Whatever, I just saved your ass from that house cause I can tell that you were bored"
"Yeah true but not only that. I need this car for my outing and I can't keep waiting for my results before I get my car back"
"Well..lucky you dad isn't at home. He wouldn't let you out unless you show him your result"
"And it's all thanks to you. I guess that should be your pay"
"I never told you to get into a fight with Deion"
"I remember telling you to stay clear off my classmates"
"Whatever Derrick,just drive. I'll get my pay one way or the other"'.Derrick speeds off and we get to school. I come down and expect one of he's talks but I'm surprised that he's letting me go until I hear my name. Now that feels like my brother.
" Yes...Derrick Browne!!! "
"Don't tell me you came for only learning. You are going out for class right?"
"No,I'm not Derrick"
"Ion believe or you just someone's attention"
"Just say what you wanna say cause I've never known you to speak in proverbs and I like you like that" He looks at me in a funny way and he's viewing me from head to toe.
"You got all dolled up for a guy to notice you"
"Ya a jocker and what if I am. What's it to you?"
