Chapter 1

Koni slouches forward as he clenches his hands to his backpack that he's hugged to his chest

'What was the question again...?'

He couldn't bring himself to raise his hand, He felt his anxiety kick in, And all he could do was sit there like a small child with deflated self esteem.

He sighs as the bell rings, Throwing his backpack around his shoulder before awkwardly stepping towards the door

He squeezes his hands together on his lap as he walks past the other students, Apart of him believed they eyed him but it's only just his anxiety tripping him out while he passes them by.

He grabs the handle of his locker then pulls it open, Sighing softly as he searches through it.

He shoves it shut then turns to see a golden ray of sunshine with shades on.

He felt himself feel more awkward the more he stared as he knows who it is but can't wrap his head around a sentence to form.

"Hey, You're that adopted kid who acts like a father to his baby brother, Right?"

Owch, Koni felt kind of hurt by 'Adopted kid' but avoided fighting on it.

"...Yes. I am the adopted kid who fathers his younger brother."

"Oh sorry." Suto raises his hands apologetically, "I didn't mean to be rude there."

Koni nods in awareness as he lowers his head towards the floor, "It's all cool." He tries to sound confident as he eyes his shoes and drags his foot back and forth nervously scraping the ground.

"Let me restart." Suto crosses his arms and raises his hand for the shy boy to shake, "The name's Rangurā Suto... But you can call me by my first name, Suto"

Koni shakes his hand shiveringly, "I- I've heard of you. You're the most popular guy here, How couldn't i...?"

Koni pulls his hand back and scratches his head nervously.

"Oh, Right... Well i want to ask a favor of you."

"Yeah?"

"Can you babysit my younger brother?"

Koni confusedly stared, "Ah. Yeah sure...?"

"Cool. My parents are out and i have somewhere to be so." Suto checks his phone real quick.

"Don't worry I've got it." Koni smiles, "Sho needs a friend anyways"

Suto nodded, "Thanks."

Suto grabbed out a piece of paper and a pen then wrote his number on it. He then continued on to pass the paper to the shy boy, "Meet me after school in front of the gates."

"Suto wants you to babysit his brother!?" V rushes in front of him, "AND gave you his number!?"

He sighs, "Shocker, I know." He scratches his head lightly while thinking to himself.

"It's not like he was sending a friend request my way, He was just giving me his number to babysit his baby brother, That's all." He reassured her of the truth.

"Yeah well maybe his brother will really like you! And then he'll keep contacting you until you two are just bound to be friends!" She seemed to have gotten reality and fantasy mixed up again.

"Yeah, Maybe in another universe" He shrugs, She huffs out a laughter and elbows his shoulder.

He steps to the front of the school, The pure blonde leans against the pillar of the gate.

The sunset reflected onto them both, Koni's eyes are a stunning vibrant blue as where he couldn't tell what color Suto's are.
