"Wake up, Dream."

A young man dressed in a pale green tank-top and black shorts shot up out of his bed, eyes darting back and forth between the walls of his room and the window which was slightly open, the blinds swaying in the warm summer breeze.

Dream rubbed his eyes before flopping back down on his bed, a small sigh escaping his mouth.  He had been pulled from such a comforting dream, too...

Swinging his legs over the side of his bed, the Floridian began to maneuver his way around clothes thrown haphazardly on the floor, empty Monster drink cans, and old ramen cups. There was barely any time to clean his room as family and friends had come to visit recently. The death of Dream's partner had been too much to bear for the poor man and he had nearly killed himself with how unhealthily he had been living these past few weeks.  Dream was normally a very clean person and hated living in such a state, but nothing had really propelled him to do anything about the mess. Everything just seemed... hopeless.

Clay made his way into the bathroom and grabbed his toothbrush and toothpaste, going about his normal daily routine of getting decently ready before slowly pushing back open the bathroom door and exiting.

A ring from his phone snapped Clay out of his routine and looking at the screen, he saw Sapnap, Nick, was calling him.

"Yo," he mumbled into the mic.

"Hey dude! Look, I'm calling to check up on you and I was wondering if you maybe wanted to play some Minecraft together? I know a lot has been going on and it's totally fine if you don't want to. I just want to help you feel better, man."

Dream cocked a small smile.  "Thank you, Nick, but right now I can't. Everything is still so..." he trailed off.  "...fresh. I don't know what I want to do right now."

"No worries, just call me if you need anything, okay?"  Sapnap smiled on the other end while fiddling with his microphone cord.  "Oh, and there's going to be something sent to you in a few days. It should arrive around Tuesday."

"Thanks, Sapnap. I'll keep an eye out." With that, Clay hung up and started making his way downstairs. Patches rubbed up against his leg and let out a soft purr, jumping on the counter and looking at Clay as if to say 'I better be getting a meal.'

"Don't worry baby... I've got food for you right here," and with a click, the younger YouTuber popped open a can of tuna and set it down on the ground for Patches to eat up at his own pace.

Dream then squatted down and rubbed Patches along his back, sliding his hand along the smooth fur and bringing his hand back up under the kit's chin and ears. As he did so, a memory popped into his head.

"Dream, come on! Let Patches rest. He's had a long day," came a soft British voice from across the kitchen. George had been sitting down at the table, reading YouTube comments and looking for suggestions in what to code.

"Look, it's my cat and if I want to pet him, I can."

George guffaws and turns back to the comments while one catches his eye.  "Hey, Dream, check this one out. 'Minecraft, but we're blind.' How fun would that be?

"It's a good idea. You want to start coding it?"  Clay finished petting Patches and came over to sit next to George, brainstorming any possible ways to code this.
