Actor

I'm just an actor

Playing the role of a smiling saint

But my true identity is

A broken, hurting sinner.

I'm just an actor,

I don't direct my show.

I'm not the one writing the script.

I don't know how my story ends.

I've mastered all my parts,

All the laughing and smiling,

All the humorous jokes,

All the things that hide my pain.

I've been acting for so long,

It comes almost naturally.

I almost feels like i'm actually happy,

But I know I'm not.

I'm hurting inside,

But my role shows the opposite.

I'm just an actor,

Playing the role of a smiling saint.
